“Nice atmosphere, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

We celebrated a friend's birthday by partaking in Dine Out Vancouver, which Ciao Bella was participating in. I've always heard that Dine Out is not a good reflection of what the restaurant is really capable of as it is so busy and the service is always rushed. If this was what it's like on a busy/rush time then we can't wait to try it on "regular" service. The food was great, the service was very attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. There's a live piano player adding to the ambience. Nice date night restaurant and also suitable for adult evening fun. If coming with children then early evening is probably best. We had a 3-course dinner consisting of 3 choices for appies, main and dessert: mine consisted of the poached pear goat cheese salad (yum) appie, grilled halibut with mashed potatoes & veg main, tiramisu for dessert. Everything was very good. Husband had tuna tartare appie, lamb chops for main and creme brulee for dessert. Also excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Will have to go again to try the rest of the menu.

“Homemade Pasta With Friendly Staff!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

This place is normally packed in summer so it was nice to visit in January with few tourists. It was still full, this time with locals. The pasta is homemade and light. The sauces very well done and the staff inviting. The piano player was a nice touch as well. All in all, a place to visit if you are the west side of town.

“Vibrant location and great Italian Food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

We have been to this restaurant at least a half dozen times and are always amazed at how warmly we are greeted and how good the food is. I now have my favourites when I go and the owner Tony always recommends a great wine to accompany our meal. The lobster bisque soup is delicious and all the pastas are tasty and delicious. They also do have the options of prix fixe menus so that you can enjoy a 3 or 4 course dinner for a competitive price. The do have a piano player who sets a great mellow mood.

“Good dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2012

We stumbled upon this restaurant as we walked around the west end of Vancouver. It was quaint and the food was quite good. We chicken limone and a pasta dish, one glass of wine and a soda. Bill came to about $60. They were having a half price pasta night when we were there. Service started out great and then he disappeared when it got busy. Overall, a good place. We'd go again if we were in Vancouver.

“Restaurant with character”

The pasta was fantastic! The live music set a very relaxing atmosphere, and the service was efficient and fun. We were a group of six, and we all enjoyed the experience.
