While walking through historic Gastown, the early core of downtown Vancouver, and after looking at a number of restaurants, my wife and I decided to have lunch at The Water Street Cafe, located on the corner of Water and Cambie Streets and across the street from the famous Gastown steam clock. We elected to eat outside so that we could watch people. We have an extremely helpful and attentive server who made adjustments to menu items to accommodate certain dietary requirements. The veal scaloppini was unbelievably good and my wife's Caprese salad and spinach and ricotta ravioli were wonderful. This restaurant has a nice beer and wine selection. We were extremely please with the service and the quality of our food. We would certainly return to The Water Street Cafe.
