We made a last minute booking before a concert and were more than pleased with the choice. Converted two story former house on the edge of Yaletown with a series of smaller rooms, somewhat noisy but then the place was full. Excellent service from our waiter and the support team, nice pace to the meal. We enjoyed the seafood salad, halibut and veal osso bucco (one of the best I have ever tasted) and the tiramisu. Pretty decent wine list with reasonable mark-up. Would not hesitate to return or to recommend.

We did this on the last night of our visit to Vancouver and it made for a memorable finale. Wonderful service, superb food and wine, and they were extremely accommodating. I am gluten free, and they had pasta I could eat.

We were here in April and everything was excellent. We went last night and it was totally different. First of all they had no beer on tap. How do you run out of beer and why wouldn't you just go buy a few cases until your supply got restocked. We ordered red and white wine - both were left on a counter during the entire dinner with no ice bucket for the white.

The appies were all good - several people had the special which was Burrata Cheese and one had the foie gras. We had to ask for bread which arrived but then we had to ask for butter.

Main courses were below average. Several people had the chicken cacciatore - the chicken wasn't very flavourful nor were the sides according to all three who ordered it - no one finished their dish. The sea bass was substantial but flavourless too. One person had a full order of linguine which looked good. Another had the 1/2 order of agnolotti stuffed with eggplant - three small pieces and average. I had the 1/2 order mushroom papardelle and it was totally undercooked and overpriced for the SMALL amount served.

Because we had such a great experience the first time I think we'll try it again. I just can't believe how inconsistent the food can be - especially after I raved about it to our fellow diners.

Despite other glowing reviews, my adult son and I were not overwhelmed with this restaurant. The dishes were good but not outstanding and not memorable at all. Atmosphere was lovely and service was good. Everything was solidly good but not anything to rave about.

We were in Vancouver prior to an Alaskan Cruise and the concierge at the L'Hermitage recommended Lupo's to us. The restaurant was only a couple of blocks from the hotel which made it very walkable. We had a Baby Romaine Salad, Lupo's Focaccia Bread, Agnolotti (Eggplant wrapped in Polenta, Tagliatelle (Chicken, Peas, Pasta and Prosciutto) and Crostata (Warm Rustic Apple Pie with Gelato). Everything was very good and way different from what they serve at home and that's a good thing. Our waiter was Michael Mameli and he was personable and attentiive but not intrusive. We found the cost to be reasonable in light of the quality of the food. We would definitely come back when in Vancouver.
