We've eaten here numerous times over the years, and have had good experiences with the ambience and especially the creative food choices. Cafeteria-style service - you line up with a tray, pick your beverage, request your meal from the prepped dishes on display, and by the time you make it to the cashier the food is heated & ready to go.
The space is beautiful, especially the flower-filled outside patio. Gorgeous fresh flower arrangements inside are a nice touch. Live music in the evenings if you hit the timing right, otherwise piped in classical is the theme, just right for sitting back and people-watching, either those passing below or your fellow diners - many of whom are "art student" types - very decorative in dress and demeanour!
Reasonable prices - this last visit the four of us had an entree with salad each, plus a beverage (non alcoholic, though wine is available), and a dessert each - came to just under $80 including tip and felt like a good deal for what we received. Food quality is very good - I believe that it is prepared by culinary program students(?).
Recommended, with or without a gallery visit.
