The food was good, ambiance was ok, a bit older but still fine. I had the Pad Thai & BBQ ribs, both were excellent and reasonably priced.

If you're after a quick Thai in downtown Vancouver this is a place to try. We were hungry visitors and saw it on Tripadviser so gave it a try. Upstairs to a large (quite empty) room - it was 7.30-8pm. Not exactly bursting with atmosphere. The mature waiter was proficient but not exactly friendly...but the food was good, quickly served and a reasonable price. So, yes, it was fine for a quick Thai in downtown Vancouver. Would I go again - not sure.

Great food and great location. We called and made reservations ahead as it was a last minute decision. Location is easy to find and the outdoor seating was a plus. Food came out really fast and the portions were huge, def able to share if you came here with a bigger group. I ordered the duck and it was delicious. Great find.

Delicious food. We had three people and shared several dishes, and all were quite good. In an interesting neighborhood as well.

Found this restaurant by the local travel guide as were were first time Vancouver visitors. We like Thai food and eat at such locations in many cities. I can't believe this is the same restaurant that supposedly got the great awards. We should have known there were problems when there was only a family of 4 in the restaurant when we arrived. We went 2 doors down to Blue Water Cafe for a drink (which was packed) to maybe wait for this place to pick up. When we came back there was one other table but we had our heart set on Thai food so decided to go for it. We started with the Hamilton Roll with prawns and a bottle wine. We had hoped for a nice fresh roll but instead the role was mostly rice and upon taking the first bite it fell apart so we had to eat it with our forks. This continued for all 4 pieces. The vegetables were fresh but the "prawns" were small and clearly thawed from frozen (which we confirmed later).

We then ordered the Pad Thai to share as a next course, once again adding prawns since we had heard so many good things about the seafood in Vancouver. The sauce had NO taste, it consisted of mainly noodles with a few small pieces of chicken and tofu, and the "prawns" were shriveled up, no larger that 1 inch by 1/4 inch, and tasteless too..oh and we counted 8 in the whole dish (if they were large and fresh this would be a good number) Where I come from we call these small shrimp and buy them at Albertsons. As this was our first dinner in Vancouver we were wondering about the seafood here. I'm happy to report we had many other subsequent great dining experiences. Anyway, we sent back the Pad Thai and took our business elsewhere for the night.

During all this bad food, maybe since we were nearly the only people in the place, we were continually "serviced" by a revolving group of people. I think the older guy was the manager but at least there other people came by to ask "if we were ready to order yet", how was our food, how was our wine, what more do we need to order. Probably no more than 3 minutes went by when we were not interrupted while enjoying our lousy food and poor wine (likely my choice error though). The manager did admit that the chef had only been there 2 months but was from Thailand.

Enough said, don't believe the reviews, this is a lousy place and the "crowds" prove it out.
