“Lousy Service”
Reviewed December 15, 2011

would not come back as service was horrible. They were very busy & seemed under staffed. I was particularly annoyed with our rude miserable buser girl who couldn't crack a smile if her own life depended on it. Food was tasty enough but luke warm. If it were not for the xmas light display I would not attend again.

“Nice setting but just okay”
Reviewed September 25, 2011

We visited the Van Dusen Gardens and had lunch at the restaurant. The setting is lovely, but the food was a bit over priced and just average. The sandwiches are accompanied by a salad that is uninspiring, the seafood chowder was almost too thick, and the sandwiches were just ordinary and nothing special. If you want to have lunch in the area after touring the gardens, I would suggest you go to Seasons in the Park at Queen Elizabeth Park. The prices are similar but the food is much better.

“What more could one ask for?”
Reviewed September 21, 2011

This restaurant is in an amazing setting and there are one of two things that I always select off their menu. Either the chicken with mango and Jicama salad or their chicken pot pie. Both are exceptional. The ambiance is lovely.
i strongly recommend a visit to the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens that are attached. You don't have to be an officianado to enjoy the sheer beauty of these gardens. If you are a gardener then you'll appreciate that most plants are labelled. Guided motorised tours can be arraanged

“Beautiful surroundings, good food and top notch service”
Reviewed August 4, 2010

We went to the Shaughnessy for a wedding breakfast so I wasn't expecting great food as they were catering for approx 80 people. I was pleasantly suprised, the food was excellent and the staff outstanding. The location is just lovely, with the spectacular Van Deusen Gardens just outside the window.
