“Handmade noodles for vegetarians”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Vegetarian options are available here. You could almost get any version of the noodle dishes on the menu as a vegetarian dish. They also have a selection of tofu and vegetable dishes. Their noodles are of high quality, and watching them making the noodles is interesting too.

“Handmade noodles”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

We had been looking for a handmade noodle company in Vancouver when we read about this restaurant. It was a typical Chinese restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the noodle maker ply his craft. The noodles were very tasty. The potstickers were different than what we make or have had in other Chinese restaurants around the world. We really enjoyed them; they reminded us of Dim Sum buns. The service was very good. We were the second group seated for lunch. It will be hard to eat any noodles other than handmade noodles again. I enjoyed the curry dragging noodles especially although my table mates did not concur. that's because they do not care for curry.

“Worst service ever, food ok”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

We've been here before, but never had such as a bad service. They ignored us right from the front door and took us the order because I had to ask loudly. They took the order of every other person before (the ones that got after us) and they did it in a rush. They were just worried about other customers all the time. I must say that this is not the first type of service in a Chinese restaurant. Could a caucasian share the same story here? I don't think so!

“handmade noodles”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

Never been to a Chinese restaurant where the noodles are handmade - Sha Lin (or Shaolin) has a viewing area to look at the noodle artists working their craft. The food quality was very good, great proportions and a great price as well. Highly recommend.

“Delicious noodles”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

A quintessential Chinese noodle house - it can be busy to the point of being chaotic, and service can be brusque.

The menu looks daunting, with hundreds of options, but there is a pattern to it - decide on the style of noodle you want, then decide on the protein, and you are good to go.

The noodles are made on the premises (you can watch them being prepared), and deliver a delicious, fresh taste and texture. We also ordered dumplings and found them to be very good.
