The following is copied from Wikipedia: "A bistro /ˈbiːstroʊ/, sometimes spelled bistrot, is, in its original Parisian incarnation, a small restaurant serving moderately priced simple meals in a modest setting. Bistros are defined mostly by the foods they serve. French home-style cooking, and slow-cooked foods like cassoulet, a bean stew, are typical." This description fits our subject to a "T". Portions are also generous to a "T". Atmosphere is French bistro to a "T".

Excellent food at a very decent price, very well presented. French omelettes du jour are so nice, fish of the day is just fine and the desserts are amazing! Great owner and chef, very professional and friendly staff.

This restaurant is located within "Le Centre" Vancouver's French Cultural Centre (that's Center for you anglophones). I shared Poutine Maison & Calamars à la capone with my children (the Calamars à la capone came with more fries) and we were literally laughing at the amount of fried food that we were eating - très bien. I've also ordered the Poisson du jour, Salade du Jour, & Tarte Pizza and from my experiences everything is tasty and reasonably priced. The side benefit is that my bilingual children can order and speak to the staff using their French!

(That's the limit of my French). Our brother in law used to be a regular here, hadn't been back in a while, and brought us here for dinner. The owner and waiters were very excited to see him, and needless to say, we had great service. Terrific! It was very much like the bistros we visited in Paris on our last trip there. The three course prix fix is a great deal, but would have been too much food if we had all ordered it. We shared the salad and dessert courses between two, and ordered another entree. I had duck confit, my wife and SIL had the two-fish (halibut and salmon) of the prix fix menu, and BIL had a steak. All of it was delicious. We'll definitely recommend this to our friends who come to Vancouver.

We went with Vancouver cousins to this delightful French bistro. The table d'hôte menu was good: goat cheese and walnut salad dressed with honey, a choice of fish and meat, and a dessert. We had trout stuffed with shrimp and crab, 2 fish, lamb, and red snapper. All were good. We could not manage the filled crepe for dessert, but had a mango sorbet instead. The service was friendly and prompt and we felt when the bill came that it was good value. My husband had the duck terrine from the a la carte menu and was a bit disappointed. The duck flavour was diluted by something such as mayo, which was the only thing we didn't love.
