After our favorite Italian restaurant BellaRoma (Please try! Just across the street) had been closed for the afternoon, our family had decided to go and try out the Provence Mediterranean Grill since there were so many costumers. After we went in the restaurant, we had to wait about a minute to wait for the people to serve us even when they weren't busy.
Then throughout the meal, nothing had tasted good, infact, they tasted nothing like Mediterranean food. We ordered the fish soup and the chef recommendations soup, and both of them tasted way too salty which made it terrible. The fish soup tasted raw and unfresh. After, the pasta had wayyyyyyyyy too much sauce and salt and the salmon panini tasted weird. So, after this tragedy, we decided that we never come again.

Our small family reunion demanded a place with lots of good food, great service, and a enjoyable evening. We found this at Provence. We shared big antipasto platters with a delicious assortment of offerings and the mains were large, well prepared and delicious. Our waitstaff was fun, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. The only drawback was the small, noisy room.

We'd go back especially to try the tuna, the lingcod, and dessert!

My husband and I make a point of having dinner here every time we visit Vancouver. There is truly something to be said for a restaurant that maintains its standard of excellence day after day, year after year. The food is sublime, the ambiance intimate and romantic, and the service attentive but relaxed. My husband is vegetarian and he adored the ravioli with wild mushrooms. I had the freshly grilled halibut and it was superb. The desserts, the wine, everything pleases the palate. One of the best dining experiences you will have in Vancouver.

Had a super meal in this small, cozy neighborhood restaurant! Service was attentive and friendly. The lamb and sable fish entrees were outstanding! We were there for close to three hours of friendly conversation, and the ambiance and food added up to an outstanding evening!

Brilliant service, good ambience, good wine list, and most importantly - excellent food.

Suggest reservation as the place is very popular with the local Kits and Point Grey crowd.
