This may be the top dining experience in Vancouver. We dined on Diva's five-course "tasting menu": scallop ceviche, chilled foie gras, smoked black cod, duo of lamb and olive oil brulee cake -- all for $55 Canadian. Two-ounce wine pairings for each course added another $35, making this five-star dining experience one that was also reasonably priced for this city.

Each course had distinctive, creative touches, and the Italian and French wines selected to accompany them (for example, a delightful Sauternes paired with the foie gras, presented with halva, preserved fig and almonds) were perfect complements.

Having heard about the Stilton cheese cake, we returned the next day to sample it and were not disappointed.

Highly recommend!

Everything was outstanding - attention to detail, not rushed service as they understood we wanted to enjoy our wine and talk before we ordered, food presentation, portions. Each person in the party ordered a different appetizer and all were served up tastefully and were most flavourful. The entrees were outstanding -- highly recommended is the wild mushroom tortellini that was totally out of this world for flavour and quality. Food preparation was excellent and everything was served at the proper temperature; wine list good. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing and the manager stopped by several times to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. Pricey but well worth it!

I ate twice at Diva and both nights, my dinner was amazing. First night was artichoke soup with orange and sunflower seeds for an appetizer, followed by pork with spaetzle and a fantastically-balanced gravy. Second night I had basic greens for appie, and chicken with beets and a potato accompaniment. Dessert was Stilton cheesecake. I know I'm not making it sound very exciting, but it's all in the way it's prepared and these guys know how to prepare it. Also, service was excellent, really friendly staff, and prices are very reasonable. I didn't look closely at the wine list as I just picked from the 'by the glass' page. Atmosphere is a bit 'hotel-like' but just close your eyes and enjoy the yummy food!

Great for either lunch or dinner; has a positive vibe and solid staff. Beverage list was very good and meal preparation and presentation was first class. Pricey area but close to everything.
