“Movin' On”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

Great experience in summer when the deck is open; not so much for the rest of the year. The food is decent but pricey, the servers are competent, but not great and the restaurant overall is getting a bit tired.

“Loved the outdoor seating and great views!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

After arriving by ferry boat and exploring Granville Island, it was time for lunch and wine! We wanted outdoor seating and Bridges looked perfect. Our party of four was seated promptly on the large outdoor patio, right by the water. In fact, a very large & friendly sea gull kept us company! We enjoyed watching the paddle boarders and boating activity with great views of False Creek and English Bay. For our lunch entree, we enjoyed dungeness crab & halibut cake burgers (YUM!) and a glass of wine.

“Food was delicious, Service was fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

I attended a sponsored dinner here so our menu was limited to halibut or beef tenderloin but either way, you couldn't go wrong with whatever you chose.

They have an excellent selection of wines, which are all very good. Their service was excellent and exactly what I expected for a high-end restaurant.

“Good food and average service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

Overall this was an average pick for food. We sat outside and really like this. Lots to look and talk about. I will say service is not great and average. The food was good but was pricey for what you get. If we were in the area I don't think we would eat here again.

“If it weren't for the view........”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

Took some very important out of town clients to sit on the upstairs patio. Service was over friendly but tolerable, until my client asked for the saffron rice with his choice of meat. "Sorry, we don't mix 'n match" was the reply. Seriously? $34 for lamb and you can't get rice? We weren't implying that they were Sleep Country on a sale, we simply wanted our choice of carb. Beans were $10, a dollar each as my client noted. Food was fine, portions are very small and prices are very high. If you have a photocopied menu at these prices, you gotta be damned good, and Bridges isn't. And when you advertise Game Hen, don't serve quail unless you call it Game Chick.
If it weren't for the view this place would fold in two weeks.

Good morning,

Thank you for your recent review and for selecting Bridges to take your clients to. We apologize that you were not given more options when it came to customizing your dish. This is definitely something we are able to do and this was a server error. Our team has been briefed on your experience so this is to never happen again. We pride ourselves on good service, so thank you for pointing this out.

The Game Hen you ordered was most definitely a Game Hen and not a Quail. And the reason we have paper menus is because our menu changes regularly to keep with the most fresh and local ingredients as possible. We hope you will give us another try!
