This is fine dining in a casual friendly atmosphere to the max!! Food was excellent; wine list superb; service impeccable. Ambiance NYC-esque at its finest.

“Excellent Fresh Fish”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

We had an excellent meal. Our server, Kita, was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. She made excellent recommendations. The sushi, salmon and lobster, were fresh and delicious. We shared a plate of sable fish and sturgeon. Both were fresh and delicious, but the portions were on the small side.
The ambience of the restaurant was lovely.
We would not hesitate to return again.

“Excellent food but a bit expensive!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

Our waiter made everything sound wonderful and it was! Even the cheese plate was worth the $33.50! It wasn't alot but my husband enjoyed every bite (he did share)! I didn't share my 3 flavours of sorbet for $12. We had the Sturgeon at $34.50 (this was a rare opportunity as Sturgeon is not readily available) and it was amazing!

“Birthday Dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

Made a reservation for my Birthday Dinner with my daughter and her boyfriend. We all found the experience very favorable. The menu selections were good. The service was exceptional and the presentation was great.

The server saw my daughter give me my birthday card and when we finished dinner, she brought a desert for me that had Happy Birthday on it. I thought that was very thoughtful

“Good but expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

When a restaurant is rated #10 out of 1840, one inevitably has high expectations and will be looking for holes to pick. Rather than doing the usual thing of simply turning up and hoping for a table, we got our hotel to make a reservation and were told that the rather early time of 6:30 p.m. was the only time we could be accommodated. This turned out to be totally incorrect, as there were plenty of tables inside right up until when we left at 8:00 p.m., so the need to book could probably be taken with a pinch of salt. Our table was right near the open kitchen, which gave us a good opportunity to see how the kitchen was run. The menu is very much fish and meat oriented and a vegetarian would do well to look elsewhere. In fact, even the very vegetarian sounding carrot soup included the unnecessary addition of duck proscuitto. Our starters of scallop ceviche and a deconstructed prawn cocktail were good, although the diced scallop was more raw than cooked with lime juice and the accompanying crispy chick peas added nothing. We both chose pan-fried coho salmon on ratatouille with a rice/potato croquette and green onion pesto. The salmon was excellently cooked, with perfectly crisped skin and pink flesh, but the ratatouille was more an assembly of Mediterranean vegetables than a true ratatouille. The rice/potato croquette was oily and rather bland. Service was friendly and very attentive. But with starters at $15 and mains at $35, and then tax and the service charge on top, the meal was more expensive than we'd usually expect to pay back in the UK.
