I can not help, but laugh when I think back to out visit to Floata. My husband and I plus 3 kids went to see Chinatown, see a movie then eat. We stopped at Floata since we ended up right next to it and it was rainy and kids were tired. We walked in and could see the banquet rooms closed off we thought maybe they were closed but a man came running up to the entrance saying come in! We walked in and ate our dinner being the only ones in the restaurant it was a Wednesday between Christmas and New Years( we were told night before busy- next night will be busy)! we were waited on hand an foot (lol) Nothing like making eye contact to get something or having your drink filled before you can take second sip. Food was ok - did like the fried rice and hot/sour soup. Big screen hanging from wall where we( and staff) could watch the front entrance( 3 people came to pick up while we were there). I think this would be a nice place for catering a big party- lots of options for parties listed with photos upon entering. Sculptures made from pressed flowers were unbelievable.
