My wife and I went here for my birthday and we really enjoyed the restaurant. It's trendy and chic, but everyone was very welcoming to us travelers. We had a great view from the upstairs balcony. Our dinners were very tasty -- I had the salmon special that night and my wife had crabcakes, a salad and another appetizer. Service was terrific.

Trust your server - I got the halibut special on her recommendation and it was amazing. It's a little noisy but there were people of all ages there so it's a place everyone could enjoy. Clam chowder was a great starter and we enjoyed the butter bread dessert with coconut and caramel. It's not inexpensive, but you leave satisfied!

We have been several times to this restaurant and it has never disappointed us or any of our guests. The fish dishes are wonderfully prepared and served by young, but very attentive staff.

Would highly recommend if you are looking for a good meal. Will only caution that the atmosphere can get a little loud due to the younger bar crowd and music.

We had a terrific experience at Coast in Vancouver, BC. The sea bass en cruet is too die for, the service is excellent. It's a fun, noisy place. For a bit of decadence, try the banana coconut butter cream cake. Worth experiencing.

The food at Coast is tasty but overpriced (figure at least $100/couple without dessert); however, the biggest problem is the loud, throbbing dance music ! Obviously this is a hip city scene, full of young professionals and their giggling girlfriends (we were surrounded). If you can't hold a conversation with the person across the table, maybe you're too old or just not hip enough to go there. Very annoying for those of us who actually came for the food.

Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. Admittedly, as the energy of the room picks up so do the noise levels - particularly on weekends. I'm sorry you were not able to fully enjoy your meals because of it. We would love to welcome you back to enjoy the full COAST experience when you next visit Vancouver.
