The substandard quality of the supposedly flatiron steak compromised an otherwise pleasant meal. We dined at Café Pacifica using a travelzoo promotional voucher for a family of four. I ordered the crab/salmon while the rest of the family opted for flatiron/braised Bison rib entrees.
Despite the facts that all the steaks were cooked to medium rare as ordered, their toughness suggested that they are not AAA grade beef; unbefitting for a restaurant of this caliber and the prices that it charges. Furthermore , I suspect that the steaks were a cut (possibly sirloin) other than Flatiron as advertised due to their shape and sizes.
All the other dishes were very tasty and well-prepared otherwise, especially the salmon which is notorious to be difficult to cook.
