“Great stay!”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

Stayed for a couple of nights here after seeing how positive these reviews were.
The hotel does not disappoint. It's exactly as described. It's small but chic. The rooms have a great layout with elegant decor and a fantastic bathroom. Breakfast was also a treat - fresh fruit and delicious goat cheese burritos (my favorite). The gym is small but it has everything you need.
Staff are also great - friendly and very helpful. And the location of the hotel is perfect to cruise around downtown Vancouver.
My only complaint (minor) is that they don't really have a spa and you need to pay extra to use the infra-red sauna. But honestly, minor.
Overall, a great find in Vancouver and a great boutique alternative to the big chain hotels.
Definitely recommend it!

A Beautifully designed property with a great deal of functional design, such as the numerous dimmable lighting sources in the suite with attention to every detail. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The Resturant was wonderful and one of the best in Vancouver.
One would be foolish to stay anywhere else in Vancouver.

Room Tip: Try to upgrade to a suite at higher floors.

Just stayed for a night with my husband at the Loden. Beautiful hotel and very friendly, helpful staff.
We didn't opt for the corner room and ours (9th floor) still had a great view out towards Stanley Park. Room feels very chic with two large sliding doors to open the bathroom space up to the sleeping area and entrance hallway - or slide them to close off the room. Chaise lounge in the corner and sound system wired into bathroom.
Pros: Very comfortable king sized bed. Linens were beautiful, very sleek & smooth. Bathroom was great too - separate tub (didn't use) and shower (great size). Towels were thick and plentiful. Staff were genuinely friendly and nice to chat with (not stuffy at all).
Cons: No coffee in room (but there's a nespresso set-up in the lobby in the mornings, apparently). Shower pressure could have been a titch stronger.

I'd stay at the Loden again for sure. I like the Coal Harbour area - close enough to walk to Gastown, Chinatown and all of Robson street & Pacific centre. Parking fees here were on par for hotels in the area of this standard ($35).

This was my second stay at The Loden Hotel and as the first it was superb. It has a chique style, friendly and helpful staff and offers tranquility in the heart of Vancouver. Weather you travel for business or personal reasons this is the place to stay. Once you are there I recommend dining at their french Bistro - Tableau! This Hotel delivers every time and I look forward to returning soon.

I messed up my reservation but after one call to the hotel, the manager handled the entire situation the way that any guest would want.

This attitude and service continued from the moment that I walked in the door to when I checked out - cordial, genuine, professional.

I stayed in one of the corner rooms. The extra charge is worth the additional airiness and light that these rooms provide.

Room Tip: Go for the corner rooms.

A fabulous choice for a couples getaway. This chique little hotel met every expectation for a wonderful night away in Vancouver. The staff are very friendly, informative and cater to guests needs from beginning to end. They really can't do enough to help you. It was pouring rain and we were meeting friends for dinner and drinks and not only were we given an umbrella for our evening out, but we were also given a ride to our destination as well ( the Loden has an adorable courtesy car and the Irish driver was fantastic as well)
We've always stayed at large hotels and the Loden left such an impression we will stay at boutique hotels from now on. The Loden is our choice for Vancouver getaways.

The hotel meets all the criteria for a modern and quiet boutique hotel in a prime location. You can walk everywhere downtown or bike( yes, they have free bikes and helmets for a ride on the seawall) if you like. The perfect finish for the day- romantic dinner at their french bistro- Tableau, the food and atmosphere is amazing. Impressed with the young, caring and professional staff. Worth checking their own website for packages and promotions, we were pleasantly surprised and booked directly. We'll stay there again for sure.
