5 rainy days in Vancouver made substantially better by staying at the Loden Hotel. Convenient for Downtown Vancouver as well as the Coal Harbour area. If your coming here for a conference the Vancouver Convention Centre is 5 minutes walk away. Very convenient for Stanley Park and the hotel provides bikes for exploring.
Great rooms, very comfortable king size beds and excellent service. If I were to have one tiny niggle, it would be the lack of a proper bar area for the Hotel guests, but the Tableau Bistro is right next door which also doubles as the hotel's breakfast restaurant.
I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Away from the elevators

In September 2013 we have been at Loden Hotel in Vancouver. It was our first time at Loden, but certainly not the last.
Already the warm welcome of Shawn, who takes care about the guests as if it would be his own place, made us immediately feel at ease in this great Hotel.(you may should open your own little Boutique Hotel, dear Shawn, sorry dear Loden Management ;-)
The front desk is very friendly and qualified. Rooms are big, perfecty clean, very nicely furnished and arranged. Pleasant employees serve a delicious breakfast and dinner at the Restaurant Tableau.
In short : the place to be and definitely our recomandation for a stay in Vancouver!

Arrived an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding and my birthday. Was greeted at the curb by the staff valet who was quick to take our bags. Inside, the lobby is modern, and elegant. We were checked in quickly and heading up to our room on the 8th floor. The room is very well appointed and spacious with a King size bed. The large bathroom is the main feature as there is a movable wall that you can slide that opens up the bathroom. There is a rain fall faucet in the soaker tub and a separate large shower, your toilet has its own opaque glass door that you can push or pull to gain access. The sound system is piped into the bathroom too.
The hotel has its own car service that you can book ahead. There are also two bikes for use on fine weather days. The hotels location is in a safe quiet area and you can walk a few blocks to Robson's Fashion District. A few blocks in the other direction brings you to the Convention Centre and the great sea wall walk along Coal Harbour to Stanley Park.
The hotel restaurant next door is called Tableau, a wonderful french bistro, unlike some hotel restaurants it is warm and inviting while still being affordable.
If you prefer a smaller boutique hotel, this one may be the one for you.

Spend 5 nights at this lovely boutique hotel. Hotel facade unimpresssive but once inside a small but trendy reception. Staff very attentive and helpful. We had a lovely room on the 11th floor. Bed and bed linens fresh and comfortable. A really modern bathroom with moulton brown products. Turn down service coupled with a small chocolate and a card with a proverb were placed on pillow every night. We had breakfast in restaurant each morning which was delicious, loved the porridge, granola, compote and great selection of fresh fruit.
This hotel is within walking distance of train station, harbour, restaurants.

This was our first stay at the Loden and in Vancouver - a beautiful, clean and modern city. It's very close to just about everything. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Rooms are very nice, but the bathroom is a little weird - glass doors on the water closet and open at the top?? My wife and I share just about everything, but personally, I like more privacy in that particular area! As someone mentioned, the tv accessing is incredibly slow, but a nice hotel nonetheless.

This was our first stay at the Loden. The location is ideal for those who enjoy walking, with easy access to the waterfront, Stanley Park and English Bay. The rooms are beautifully equipped, with streamlined, contemporary accessories. The beds are extremely comfortable. The only glitch is the tv. It is difficult to access directory information which is in the television home page. The TV did not work smoothly. When service was needed, it was prompt and efficient. The management was anxious to please when he became aware of the tv problems. The restaurant was very good but terribly noisy for the likes of older folks.

Room Tip: The corner rooms are lovely with floor to ceiling windows on two walls.

Very nice hotel located in a good position in Vancouver. Very friendly and helpful staff and excellent room and bathroom. No complaints and would visit again. if you are in a car like we were, it is easy to park outside and offload etc before parking or returning car to agent. Mind you, its a brave visitor who drives in Vancouver. Makes London seem easy!
