The Granville House was a terrific place to call home during our brief weekend in Vancouver BC. We were warmly welcomed by Randy and he provided lots of ideas for scenery and food (all of which were right on!). Additionally the room was everything advertised and really quite comfortable with first rate amenities. Breakfasts were hearty and tasty and the fellow travelers were very pleasant. The location for was was perfect. We willingly recommend this residence to all.

Very nice place to stay. Neat, clean and nice ambience. Location is perfect between the airport and the city centre. Good breakfast with a lot of choice. Our host Randy was very friendly and told us a lot about the things to do in Canada.
Perfect start off our vacation.

We enjoyed staying at Granville House B&B - excellent service, well appointed and yummy breakfasts even to suit dietary restrictions. Pam is a friendly and helpful hostess, great suggestions and tips for things to do and restaurants around Granville & Vancouver. Loved the comfy king size bed!

The B&B was within our budget (very reasonable price), and perhaps because it is not downtown. We decided to walk our first day in the city instead of taking the bus. About 20 minutes later on foot, we stumbled upon South Granville, a neighborhood that is absolutely bustling with cute shops and delicious restaurants. I'm guessing that if we had stayed downtown we would not have seen this part of Vancouver, which would have been sad because some of our favorite places to eat were in this area (check out Red Door for dinner and Picnic for food you can easily pack for... you guessed it, a Picnic).

Although some may be turned off by its location, you should NOT be. Go here. You will be taken care of. You will be pampered. It is a 5 star bed and breakfast run by a five star couple, Pam and Randy. They are wonderful cooks (the hot breakfast they make is truly amazing and creative). Their food sticks to the mantra of many others in the food biz in Vancouver: local and seasonal. The food is fresh and tasty here just like everywhere else you want to go.

Like a good teacher, if there was a question that Pam and Randy didn't know the answer to, they found out right away. iPhones, maps, printouts, online research during breakfast, you name it... they'll find out for you.

Stay here because Pam and Randy help make your vacation easier and more enjoyable. We were there to start out off our honeymoon and I'm thankful that we did.

You two were so helpful and kind, and incredibly patient. Thank you
for helping us start our honeymoon off right. And yes, the aerie is
everything everyone thinks it is. But it certainly doesn't have the
personal touch on impecible service that granville b&b has.

Thank you again. Hopefully weveill be back in Vancouver again in the
near future.

We stayed in the Dogwood suite and it was just like staying in a 5 star hotel. The room was amazing with a super comfy bed and a great bathroom with lots of extras.
Breakfasts were really imaginative with a different 'special' everyday, prepared by Randy and Pam. We especially liked the 'dutch babies'!!!
Randy gave us some great tips and recommended some good restaurants and always had time for a chat - nice to have that personal touch.
It's a little bit more expensive than other B&B's but is definitely worth it, much nicer than staying in an impersonal hotel.

We stayed with Randy and Pam for 3 nights as our 1st port of call for a 2 week trip round BC. We couldnt have asked for better hosts. Check in was easy as completely flexible which removed the worry of delays etc. Room was extremely comfortable, the toiletries and robes were very welcome after a long flight. We used their guide on local restaraunts and were not disappointed - our first night we went to the Shawnessy at Van Dusen gardens which was lovely. Breakfasts were yummy and when we needed an early breakfast we were catered for. Lovely friendly hosts who also helped us try and sort out our lost baggage with BA! Location was good - just out of town but the bus stops right outside the door or an easy cab ride, also very convenient for the airport. All in all a fantastic stay!

The 'Elm ' room was spacious with a well-appointed bathroom and ample closet space. The wall-mounted television was perfect and there is free WIFI on the property (make sure that you ask for code.) This room fronts to Granville, which is generally busy, but the dual-pane windows and extra insulation in the walls reduced any outside noise to a whisper.

The front door and all of the guest rooms feature keypad entry which, for us, is perfect: Easy come-and-go. In that regard, the property was somewhat like a B&B and somewhat like a hotel which, again, was perfect for us.

There is a nice buffet and the owners are available for small talk, directions, or suggestions at that time. They are very cordial and very helpful. Their suggestion of ViJ (Indian-fusion) Restaurant was a gem.

We had a car (parking in back and enter through gate), but there is bus service along Granville.

We had a great time and would certainly stay there again.
