“Our first meal in Vancouver”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Husband and I stayed in Vancouver three days prior to an Alaskan cruise in August and this was our first "taste of Vancouver." Menu was large and varied. Service was excellent. Our server happily explained many of the items to us. I had the vegetarian black bean chili (actually more like a sloppy joe and was served in a bun) - delicious! Husband had the halibut burger and a couple of beers, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We both had the soup of the day, a potato cheddar concoction which we both liked. Wanted to go back for another meal, but we needed to sample other restaurants while in Vancouver. Also ate at Gyu Kaku, Rodney's Oyster House and enjoyed salted caramel gelato at Bella Gelateria...all very good, gelato was scrumptious!

“Good beer, fun atmosphere”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Have visited a couple times and always enjoy it. Food is really good and there are a lot of choices. The flight of beer is a great way to sample all of the varieties they make. Staff are always friendly, welcoming, and unpretentious. It is in a great location, and has a fun atmosphere and cool decor. Some nights have a magician performing!

“Pub Fare”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

This place is big and offers a good menu right in the heart of Yaletown. I've eaten here a few times and I always leave satisfied. Nothing is outstanding though.

“An excellent Brewpub!”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

After a long day, we chose this brewpub for its location to our hotel. What a great choice! In a cool neighborhood, you'll be impressed with the brick walls and wide plank floors. The windows were open to their patio with plenty of seating. Lots of TV's for great sports viewing. You'll love the keg lights, comfortable chairs and note the playing cards on the ceiling. The server knew her beer, and the sampler provided great tasting. Mainland Lager was refreshing, and the Downtown Brown was excellent. Found this year's Raspberry wheat had a lovely color but not as much raspberry flavor as we would have liked. The Warehouse Stout was excellent as well, and we did enjoyed the pale ale. Noteable was the food. My husband ordered best mussels I've ever had - tender, not rubbery and served in a delicious broth. The Valencia was a paella concoction with crisp snow peas, peppers, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo. For a brewpub as large as it is, it is surprisingly intimate yet fun. I only wish it was closer to home for us, as we'd be there all the time. Make it your first stop when your in Vancouver.

Awesome service, awesome music, awesome clientele, awesome food. Oh, and awesome beer. It's always buzzing with great energy, and there's no shortage of eye candy. Bonus: one of the best patios in the the city.
