Great shop window gazing. Great people watching. Shops all lit up for Christmas. Great insdie shopping and good connections for the Skytrain that will whisk you around the city for under 6 dollars a trip.Get up at 6:00 am and have a walk along the seawall to Granville or around Stanley Park or over to West Vancouver. Great location for a week of funtimes. Book concerts ahead. Be ready for fast but polite traffic. Bikes are avaliable to rent for rides around Stanley Park. Great Library, great book shops, LOTS of Restaurants in Yale town.Miss Gastown if you have kids under 15. Lots of beggars and druggies.

We walked round the shops. We went to the port and the station. We visited the church in the centre - beautiful. We visited Gastown which is long street full of tourist shops and old buildings. A must see is the Steam Clock!! We walked from Gastown to the Chinese Quarter which was mistake as you have to pass through a very rough area with beggars down and outs. A very nervous 10 minutes and our only worrying time in Vancouver. Although, there are people sleeping rough on the streets everywhere.

This place is truly a wonderful place to visit when in downtown Vancouver rain or shine. The parking was not to bad as we went through the week and there were lots of clean facilities. The location is kind of tricky to get to if you are new in town but the signage was helpful. It is located right on the water and you can do a water taxi from or to the market. This is a whole day adventure so go prepared as there is much to see and eat. Well worth the stop.

A beautiful city with some of the nicest laid back people you could ever wish to meet. Plenty of open space to balance out the high rise. Spectacular city skyline and mountain skyline. It's all there. Love it.
