We visited Vancouver for a few days in April. We were fortunate to have wonderful weather during our stay. One day we walked the seawall from downtown around part of Stanley Park to the Totem Pole park. There and back took about 2 hours at a leisurely stroll. Another day I rented a bicycle near Cardero restaurant and cycled around the park, which took about an hour.

For prairie folk, the view of the water, the beautiful tall trees and the activity in the harbour were all a great experience. What a great way to showcase a fabulous city.

We cycled this wonderful attraction round Stanley Park on a hired Tandem, unfortunately it started to rain on our way round so were not able to stop and take as many photos as we had wanted but it is a wonderful place. There are people walking, jogging roller blading and walking dogs and at each corner you get a new view to look out on. There is much more to see inside the park so we will visit agan before we leave

I m not sure his many miles it covers but it seems to go all around Vancouver

The whole seawall trail is approx 23km from Kitsilano beach to The Convention Centre on Burrard Inlet.
Should take about 3-4 depending on how fast you walk and how often you stop to enjoy the scenery.
I did the trail on a slightly cold raininy day in spring so it wasnt very busy but i can imagine during the summer it would be packed with locals, tourists and beachgoers alike.
The scenery along the wall is ever changing with so much to see.....has to be done! : )

We stayed at the Sylvia Hotel, right next to the park on English Bay. From there it was 2 minutes to the path & an amazing walk around and through the park. Makes one realise why Vancouver is such a great city to visit (& live in).
