Salon Tea is a tiny cafe set between 14th and 15th Avenues on the east side of Granville Street. Once you have window shopped and bought, here is a perfect place to unwind, with a great cup of tea served in a china cup, with a large porcelain tea pot. There are many choices of tea and your server will kindly offer you samples of tea for you to pick the perfect blend. There is a "high tea", and it is high-three tiers-and it does contain a scone, finger sandwiches, and some sweets.
The high tea does NOT have linen napkins and table cloths you would normally associate with a high tea. However there is unrushed, sensible service, and you will feel well taken care of. It is worth a try.
