We've been to the Tap and Barrel several times, both for lunch when riding around the seawall and for snacks and drinks in the evening. They have a really great patio downstairs and a huge balcony seating area upstairs; even with all this space, on a sunny summer day or warm evening, the place is packed and has a lineup to get in. On a recent visit there were lineups many people deep for both inside and outside seating and several groups of people walked right in past the lines, saying that they were going to "sit at the bar", only to take the inside seating that we had by then waited over half an hour for. We were not impressed. Management should do something about this unfair practice. Other than that, the food is decent pub food and they have a good selection of beers and wine and the service is good.
