“Drop on for hot chocolate”

Friendly, fast and good choice of food. View of the yachts helps too. We wanted to move to get share the bench with friends and it was not trouble to do so. Very helpful staff.

“Convenient but no quality”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

We ate breakfast here. Coffee okay but eggs tasted fake and the sausage was just like a hot dog. There are much better places in the area. Pass it by.

“Cafe Ola la!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We stopped in for coffee and pastry on a beautiful Saturday morning after being on a 14 day cruise to Alaska. The weather was gorgeous and really called for sitting outside with a mug of dark delicious coffee. We found that and more at Café Villaggio. This spot sits directly across from the harbour and within walking distance to Stanley Park. We had coffee and shared a twice baked pistachio croissant along with an almond croissant. The hands down winner was the pistachio croissant. It was crispy, crunchy, and full of sugary deliciousness. We fought over the crumbs on the plate it was so good! That’s not to say the almond croissant was not delicious, it was, but the crunch on the pistachio croissant was outstanding. The coffee was rich, dark, and flavorful. While we did not have a complete breakfast, which they offer, we were completely satisfied with our selections. You order at the counter then find a place to park it.
Café Villaggio offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is ideal when Vancouver weather is at its best. The café offers a full breakfast and lunch menu with lots of egg dishes to select from. The couple next to us were enjoying eggs with Italian sausage covered in marinara sauce. They said it was outstanding. Next time when you are in Vancouver near the Waterfront give Café Villaggio a try and hook up with a pistachio croissant.

“Rotten sandwich”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

I have been to this restaurant a few times for lunch. Usually I would have the smoked turkey, which is served with a side salad, for around $9. Its good value and usually quiet, so on a nice day you can sit outside.

Yesterday I ordered a smoked turkey sandwich with salad. After taking, and swallowing, a big bite of the center of the sandwich, I noticed the center of the sandwich was rotten. I showed the staff the sandwich, and they said "but it was just made yesterday". There was no offer of a refund or replacement food, so I went to my table, grabbed the plate with the untouched salad and returned to the counter. Again, no offer of a refund or replacement.

About an hour later I had severe stomach pains and loose bowels. The rest of my day was very rocky.

I will never go here again.

“Great little spot for breakfast or coffee”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

We stopped here for a late breakfast enroute to the ferry. Ample on street parking, great coffee, good selection of bakery goods and an easy going atmosphere. We sat facing the water and watched the world go by for a bit. Only slight downside was their cinnamon pastry twists were stale, but otherwise a good experience and we'd return.
