I really recomend staying in Times Square Suites. It was, for us, nice place, very clean and beautifull suite! We have nothing that disapointed us. Even the noise of the semaphore pedestrian sounded like a bird to us ...

What a great place. Our apartment was modern, spacious, very comfortable in all respects, tastefully furnished and decorated, and had a large, well equipped kitchen. In addition, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was ideal - close to the marina, Stanley Park and plenty of excellent restaurants. In summary, a perfect base for our four day visit to Vancouver of which the highlight was probably the firework display that formed part of an annual competition between Canada, China and the UK. We also enjoyed the challenge of the Grouse Grind in North Vancouver and the spectacular views from the top.

What a great place. It was near Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver. We could do our laundry, eat meals and walk down the street to Stanley Park for a hike. It was like being at home!

Having recently stayed in San Franciso, Portland and Seattle, Times Square Suites in Vancouver offers great value in comparison. The location is perfect: the quiet end of Robson Street, a few minutes from Stanley Park. The rooms we had were more than spacious (the room the previous reviewer chose was clearly too small and not intended for 4 people) and there are several sizes to choose from. My room faced Robson St. and I was never bothered by noise. Imagine - a gas fireplace, balcony, separate bedroom, 2 plasma tvs, living room, kitchen, washer and dryer for $137 (including tax) a night.

I LOVED it and look forward to returning very soon!

We used public transport to reach this place. Location wise, very handy with a great supermarket diagonally from it. It is on the corner of a pretty busy intersection and thankfully when we were checked in, they had the forethought of putting us in a quieter room (our view was the car park out the back and the mountains behind. Although it was not what we were hoping for, come the weekend, we were grateful with all of the sirens in the wee hours.
Check in was smooth. A little difficult to negotiate with all of our luggage, taking it all down to the basement (where their office is located) and then up to our room. The lift is a tight squeeze with luggage and a pram. In the end, we ended up using the lift after each other.
We were here for 4 nights, over a weekend.
Having a 2 year old and a 7 month old who were not coping with the time difference (from Australia), we felt the walls were starting to close in on us a little.
We found our room lovely and tidy. Largish scale furniture in a smallish room. We had difficulty having a baby on the floor and our eldest trying to walk past him. There just seem to be too much stuff in there.
Our room was always on the warmer end of the scale. Not hot, but we stripped off and slept in our underwear and likewise for the kids.
We had a 1 bedroom with the den made up with a single bed. Down side was the den was colder for our eldest, but by no means freezing. She slept with a blanket on her. But the door that separated her room from the lounge/dining/kitchen only had a 3/4 blind that you could pull down on 1 window only, leaving another panel of glass for her to look at us through. With 1 child in our room, and the other in the den, we found there was no place for us to have tv time for ourselves, without it interfering with one or the other.
Location wise, it was great. They had an all in one supermarket, which consisted of just about everything... Coffee shop, florist, supermarket, a place where the made a sandwich/wrap in front of you while you chose, hot fresh chinese food, etc. We found that the most handy. We could spend all day out, call in there on the way back and tea was sorted. Because the rooms have kitchens, we also used it as a side of tea.
It is on the corner of Denman and Robson Streets. Robson is serviced by buses. It is also at the bottom of the gentle hill. Start of fresh in the morning walking uphill, come back tired in the afternoon, walking down hill (thankfully).
Handy to Stanley Park, which is beautiful and Pacific Centre (underground shopping mall in the city).
A tip... Wait to use the dishwasher, turning it on when you go out. Ours was so loud that none of us could sleep while it was on.
Another tip... Located on the ground floor was a Starbucks coffee. We didn't pay for use of the internet, we just logged in using their's (naughty I know).
The wanted to charge us $12.00 to park our rental car for the night, we parked it out the back (for free) and then later that night, we moved it around to the front door. It was safe and no problems. Nice little saving and came in handy when we had to load up and go the following morning as they don't start charging you to park in the street until after 9am.
They give you plenty tea towels, dish clothes, a little container of dish washing powder, a little box of laundry powder, a dryer cloth and some dish washing detergent, plenty of spare towels (under the sink).
Nothing wrong with this place, it was just too small for us.
