My husband and teenage daughter stayed for three nights the end of May. The property was, if anything, nicer than advertised. Our daughter had a separate room, so there was plenty of space for all of us. The beds were very comfortable. There were no noise problems. We particularly enjoyed fixing our breakfast, reading the paper and enjoying our coffee while enjoying the view of the mountains. We also liked spending time on the roof top patio. A bonus was the ease of parking. Our car was conveniently available whenever we needed it. The neighborhood is safe and interesting. We had a couple of really great dinners right around the corner. The Safeway across the street had all we needed for the kitchen.

Three generations of our family have used this accommodation several times. The suites are beautifully fitted out,and very well maintained. The situation is perfect for Stanley Park, the Coal Harbour waterfront, and ten minutes walk from English Bay, twenty minutes walk from the City Centre.Excellent eateries are very close, with coffee shops and food stores on the doorstep. Staff could not be more helpful.
This is a great place for your base in this lovely city.

My wife and I enjoyed a terrific stay at the Times Square suites for 5 nights in June while visiting beautiful Vancouver at the beginning of our west coast adventure taking in B.C. and Alaska. I

t suited us perfectly. Having laterally stayed at a more downtown location at the end our trip, I can say without hesitation that the location of the Times Square Suites is far superior. It is located on the corner of Robson and Denman in Vancouver's trendy west end and is literally a 5 minute walk to both coal harbour and the magnificent Stanley Park.

In my opinion, if you are visiting Vancouver, it is the perfect location... just far enought away from the tourist hotspots to help you feel as if you are living like a local but close enough should you need/want to explore the attractions the city has to offer.

The hotel itself... and I use that term loosely was terrific. Our 1 bedroom suite was spacious, spotlessly clean and indeed a little better than we had even imagined. The air conditioning was excellent and the fully functioning kitchen made life easier.

The reason I hesitate to call this place a hotel is that it truely feels more like having your own little city centre flat than being governed by the rules and restrictions often associated with hotel stays. The staff were as accomodating as you needed them to be but all in all just left you to get on with enjoying your stay.

In addition, you have a lovely cafe downstairs, a complementary membership to a superb gym located a few blocks away and are on the doorstep to numerous ethnic eateries and as I said before... Stanley Park and its attractions.

The best complement I can pay this place is that whenever we return to Vancouver this is where we will be staying... no question.

Visiting Canada for 5 weeks I decided to book apts. more than hotels so that we had a temporary home rather than a room.
This filled the bill perfectly! We stepped through the door of apt 403 and belonged! This was our home for 11 nights. The apt was very tastefully furnished, clean and so well equipped with everything you needed. Beds were so comfortable and linen and towels of good quality. We got 2 cleans a week and if you needed anything you only had to ask and it was done.
The staff in reception were courteous, efficient and very friendly.
We could contact them at anytime, but they were never intrusive.
It was hard to believe that 42 apts were occupied in the building because we hardly ever saw anyone else, and there was NO noise in the building at all.
The surrounding neighbourhood is safe and easy to get around. We walked most places, and took taxis which were cheap. Stanley Park is a beautiful area to spend leisure time.
There is a supermarket called Food for Less just down Denman Street behind Shoppers Mart Pharmacy - I never saw food so cheap anywhere in Canada and the quality was excellent. We didn´t self cater but for those who wish to I would advise them to stock up here. We bought lots of fruit, milk, juice and basics.
There is a small shop near the entrance in Robson St, but it´s almost double the price for everything.
The X Spot cafe on the corner of Denman/Robson make very good sandwiches. Bo Jangles is good too. The Wild Garlic Bistro near the junction is excellent. and such friendly and efficient staff. If you want to go book as it´s only a small place that gets full regularly..................you won´t be disappointed!
We intend going to back in 2009 and will stay at Times Square suites. Highly recommended!

We stayed 6 nights in a studio+den located at the rear of the premises and we were never bothered by any noise. The apartment was immaculate as were the corridors and entrance. The kitchen was well equipped in every way. The outside temperature while we were there was around 70, so the temperature inside the apartment was fine, but I will say if higher temperature, I could see that it might get overheated as air con was not very powerfull and was too noisy to run at night. The location is excellent a few minutes from Stanley park about ten minutes walk over to English Bay and restaurants of every kind close by, as are two supermarkets. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. On the occasions I had enquiries all of the staff I spoke to (three different members of staff) at reception, were extremely helpful and nothing was too much bother. All in all we had an excellent stay in this apartment suite.

I'll be honest my very first impressions were not great. We arrived early evening, buzzed the intercom to get downstairs - went through the front entrance where there are cheap printed signs warned of letting strangers in, went down to the office which felt like a mini-cab office attached to the carpark. Had to pay in full up-front (not very classy) - and then got to the room.

The room (a one bed suite) was clean, though the decor was a bit 1980s. It was certainly big enough and they had acted on our request for a crib and high chair - we were travelling with our one year old. With sirens wailing outside I went to bed feeling not too good about the place.

The next day we woke up the sun was out, I wandered down to the bojangles cafe on the ground floor, got breakfast and suddenly the place began to warm on me. The neighbourhood feels very safe. You are right on Denman and Robson. If you want to shop you can wander down Robson, if you want to eat then the whole world is your choice a block either way on Denman. Given we have a small child it was nice to be able to get very good foot 'to go' and have it back in our own apartment within moments of it leaving the kitchen.

The place is also only a couple of blocks from Stanley Park. There is no better way to start a trip to Vancouver than walk the loop around this.

By the end of my stay I had 'tuned in' to the Times Square suites - at the end of the day it is a serviced apartment rather than a hotel, and perhaps my first impressions were me judging more by hotel experiences.

The only other thing to be aware is that good as it was I thought the price was at a point were it felt pricey rather than value. That will be an individual thing I guess depending on the price you get and what your benchmark is.

For travelling with a one year old, and for it's location, it was a great base.

We stayed at the Times Square Suites on Robson Street in Vancouver for four nights in August. We had originally booked a two bedroom suite but, as our travel companions were arriving a day ahead of us, we were given two one bedroom apartments with an adjoining door. The apartments were roomy, nicely decorated and very comfortable...... nice bathroom and washing machine/dryer in a hidden closet in the living area. The kitchen was well appointed although we didn't feel the need to cook with so many eateries close by. The small balcony we had overlooked Robson Street and our only complaint was that there was a wedding in the restaurant below one evening that seemed to spill out into the street ....... the noise made it a bit diffiuclt to sleep. The Times Square is close to the corner of Robson and Denman so it's within walking distance of lots of great places to eat (Denman Street) and shopping along Robson Street. It's proximity to Stanley Park was also a plus ... lots to explore right on your doorstep. The Times Square staff were friendly and attentive ....... always helpful (we left our bags in storage with them for four days and they didn't charge us !) We highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Vancouver and we will certainly stay there on our next visit.
