“Great beer, awesome brewery”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

Stopped in for some quality BC brew while on the island. Very cool building and great location too. Had a flight of beers, including the potato stout. All were very good, the honey beer was probably my favorite; subtle hint of honey was great. Be aware that you're only allowed one full beer or one flight sampler as they are a tasting room only.

Visited Granville Island, decided to hit up the brewery and try their sampler flights. great atmosphere while taking a break from the market and galleries near by. Friendly bar staff. The Winter Ale was our favorite beer on tap.

“Brewery tour”
Reviewed February 27, 2014 via mobile

Nice tour of the original Canadian craft brewery. Very informative staff and a few tasters at the end, well worth-while if you are in town.

“Try The Samples!”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

A very pleasant microbrewery with a focus on visitors and some pretty good beers too. The best way to enjoy it is to order a sample of up to six beers in smallish glasses, each with its own description. It's fun to compare the descriptions with your own personal reaction to each beer. If you find one you like, you can buy more in the adjacent shop! If you go to Granville Island, unless you loath beer you really should allow a pleasant hour for this place.

“Nice for a tasting.”
Reviewed January 7, 2014 via mobile

We stopped in to try a beer or two. Being from out of town the tasting "menu" is great. The two of us got to try in total 6 different beers. Giving us a chance to try beers we normally would buy in the store. That you only can get three small beer to try is ok, gives the place a different feeling rather than gave a bunch of drunk teens in a corner.
What I did find strange is the beer drinking bartenders?? The one guy had about 4-5 beers in the hour that we were there. Seems the three drink rule doesn't apply to the staff.
Would be nice to find out if anyone can just join a tour of the place or does one have to be in a big group.
