“Good choice!”

We stayed 3 days at the B&B and were in general very satisfied. Unfortunately, when we were there, they were renovating the kitchen which created lots of dust, but otherwise, we liked our stay. We liked the fact that we were provided with good continental breakfasted directly in our room. The small kitchen area enabled us to make our own breakfast and sometimes dinner. Very private, large enough, the B&B is perfectly located to enjoy and discover Kitsilano which is simply wonderful!

Room Tip: The owners of the B&B bought the breakfast food at the Wholefood Store which is known for its hi...

After our initially reserved accommodations didn't workout for our weekend stay in Vancouver, we were left scrambling trying to find open rooms. (We were there over Victoria Day weekend.) We initially left a message at this place and went off looking elsewhere, with no luck. Fortunately, Jocelyn called us back, and despite it being almost 9pm, welcomed us to come over and see if the place would work for us.
Bottom line - if we had known about Kitsilano Heritage House from the beginning, we wouldn't have looked anywhere else. It's a great historic building, the accommodations are very nice, and the hosts were excellent. They were headed out of town for the weekend themselves, but were more than willing to let us stay there anyway. They had booked no other guests, yet gave us full roam of the place. We even got a discount because they wouldn't be there to provide breakfast, and then Jocelyn provided it the first morning anyway. (Did I mention that we didn't get there until after 9pm?)
As others have said, it's an in-room continental breakfast that you get, so if you're looking for the full cooked-meal B&B experience, then this might not be the place for you. However, it was exactly what we were looking for and they quite literally saved our weekend. We would not hesitate to return.

Rooms are small. Adequate breakfast is provided in room.
Public spaces are dark and not welcoming.
No information provided on local eating.
Owners present but not helpful or forthcoming with ideas and suggestions.
Wound not work with children.
Not a good value for price.

Quiet residential area close to busy 4th avenue , where there are convenient shops & restaurants , and Kitsilano beach . Had OK stay as basics were covered and host was friendly when approached . It was our first time that we had self served continental breakfast in room / kitchenette and made us realise that we prefer having a cooked breakfast and chatting to other guests .Room seemed cramped and stuffy but otherwise stay was alright .

This B&B lived up to the promise on its website. There are three guest rooms and a suite in a lovely old house with guest access to the home’s living room and front porch for relaxation. The hosts are nice and accommodating. WiFi is free. It’s in a great neighborhood, on a quiet residential street within walking distance of the shops, many restaurants and coffee houses on 4th Avenue and Broadway, and within 10-15 minutes of all of Kitsilano, Granville Island, and downtown Vancouver. Our room was a bit cramped and, unlike other B&Bs, no cooked breakfast is offered. As described on its website, they provide only a “continental” breakfast consisting of coffee we made ourselves, orange juice, a small loaf of bread, some fruit, packets of instant cereals reconstituted from the electric kettle, and condiments. OK, but not if you like a full breakfast and chatting with other guests. The bed squeaked. They accept payment only in cash (Canadian – there’s a nearby ATM) or travelers checques; no credit cards or bank checks. We enjoyed the stay and Vancouver is wonderful, but would have preferred the full B&B experience.
