Description: A nod to both the University of Oxford and British sporting culture, the New Oxford sits proudly on the edge of Yaletown, an ideal addition to Vancouver’s notoriously trendy neighbourhood. The room runs the width of the entire city block, and reveals rustic gray millwork, classic pub-style furniture and black & white photos with a pop art treatment. A 50-foot-long cantilevered bar serves as the room’s centrepiece, and leads visitors into a ‘study’ area, complete with taxidermy, original-print hardcover books, vintage sporting gear and comfortable seating. Open seven days a week, the New Oxford serves original and classic cocktails, craft beer and local, organic pub fare, with a busy brunch weekends and holidays.

We have enjoyed many brunches at the New Oxford. They have delicious Caesars, cocktails and beer and a simple, yet tasty brunch menu. Service is decent and price is good. This upscale pub is a great place to recover from a night out!

Visited last night for a few beers and pub food. The waitress was grumpy, spending plant of time in the back and slamming our orders on the table when she got around to handling it. In between she was quite friendly which was odd. The second round of beers sat at the bar for some time and two of the glasses were not even close to full. She argued that two fingers of foam was fine. Foam's good when it's on top of the glass! We also didn't understand why she would argue the case anyway. The bar keeper added a bit more foam....

Food was OK. The burger assembled without much thought and burned.

Having come here a few times it's been good at times and really disappointing at other times, like last night.

The New Oxford is on the fringe of Yaletown. It's an English style pub with a very good selection of beers, wine etc. Great for lunch and evening bar scene. They have a good lunch special concept; providing half orders for those not to hungry or are in a hurry. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Been there many times and have always been satisfied.

We went to this restaurant on the recommendations of friends prior to going to see Pink in concert. What an enormous disappointment. To begin with the waitress did not have clue about wines. Didn't know the difference between a Cab Sauvignon and a Sauvignon Blanc. We ordered our wine from their small and very I impressive wine list, taking a chance as our waitress was unable to make recommendation. The wine was really awful. Our dinners were mediocre. The strip loin dinner had everything soaked in a mushroom gravy that was far too salty.. Painfully so! During our dinner the waitress checked in twice but did not have the presence of mind to top up our wine. When we asked to speak with the supervisor or manager we were told that the GM was there and would come out. Surprise surprise he had to leave but the manager would speak to us. He gave us lip service at best. Told us he would adjust our bill for the steak but in the end did not. My recommendations ...... Do not go to this restaurant!
