“great food and beer by the pitcher”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Noisy sports bar, but menu has great choices and all of the dishes we had (4) were excellent. Lots of beers on tap.

“Cocktails and breakfast.”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

Cocktails were super, breakfast just so-so. I asked for the child breakfast and she said no and then she said yes. Coffee good, toast like always, not toasty enough and a tiny pat of butter.

“Good Veggie Burger”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

We checked this place out for breakfast one morning but the smell of stale booze and presence of actual bar flies made us reconsider.
I returned another time however for some food and a drink.
Excellent Bloody Mary (albeit made with some kind of Clam Juice - glad I found out AFTER as I'd never have ordered it) and delicious veggie burger (the "Hippy Chick") were the standouts for me at this Irish themed bar. While delicious, the Hippy Chick is a articularly messy affair which is best enjoyed alone and not in company and CERTAINLY NOT while on a date. Special mention to the excellent music choices.

“Interesting pub!”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

We only went in for drinks but found the place very enjoyable. The atmosphere was welcoming with cozy couches and overstuffed chairs. The staff was friendly, though a bit slow.

“Average for the area”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

My group found more good pubs and restaurants than I expected in Vancouver. We had a good experience at Morrissey but it was pretty much average overall. The food was pretty good, good beer selection and fancy cocktail selection. Prices were about the same as everywhere else. Service wasn't bad, but there seemed to be too few waitresses for the number of tables and guests leading to an exceptionally long wait to get our check after we finished eating and drinking.

The pub was full on Saturday night. 'Pub' must be in the title just to make it trendier because there are few pub qualities of the place. The crowd was a mix of 'after-work suits', 'blue hair and fingerless gloves', and one of the waitresses was wearing a garter belt and stockings as her work attire. Our visit was fine, but I'd prefer a real pub.
