Description: Located at the Gateway to Granville Island, WHET: kitchen. bar. patio, is Vancouver's newest eating, drinking, and viewing experience. At WHET we focus on using local and organic ingredients in everything we do: Oceanwise seasonal seafoods and Granville island market ingredients like oyama sausage, artesian cheese, island baked breads, and market fresh herbs and spices. We combine a sophisticated seasonal menu with a relaxed atmosphere and panoramic view. Our libations consist of contemporary and modern wine and cocktail offerings which have been created, sourced and refined with a careful mind to stay true to our philosophy of using fresh, vibrant flavours and pairings. We have a wide craft beer selection of both local & international draught and bottled favourites. WHET is open late every night of the week for a glass of wine or cocktail after a show, a late dinner after taking in a famous Granville Island play, or a night out with friends in our cozy and vibrant lounge.

“Great outdoor patio along the water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Good food, good service, nice atmosphere at the entry to Granville Island. Nice view of the water on the patio with heaters and rain coverage. Interesting menu items, would return!

“A great spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

This was a great spot to visit while on Granville Island. Our server was terrific - made the experience very personal and enjoyable. Turns out he grew up in the town where I live.
Business was steady throughout the evening with diners of all ages - always a good sign. Would most certainly go back!

“Good location - average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

this place has a great patio on sunny days, but if coaught inside, it is a little dark and depressing. the food is average as is the service.

“You will go for the location..and pay for it”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

On Vancouver's Granville Island, a marinaside location. Comfy booths. Food oriented to "fancy" and "ornate" rather than delicious and substantial. Definitely tourist prices - lunch for 2 was $60 with 1 beer. Food was fine, but nothing special.

“Disappointingly Bland”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013 via mobile

We were so looking forward to the soups but they had little flavor. Surprisingly, the sauces hat came with the fish tacos were bland as well. We had sketchy service even though we told them we were going to a show at the theater next door. It had a nice atmosphere but too pricey for what we got.
