“Quite a delight!”

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It was an absolute pleasure staying here. It was very easy to find and we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine upon arrival. There was a tiny mix-up about our room type, but everything was remedied within seconds. It is conveniently located mere blocks from some of Vancouver’s finest restaurants. We were most impressed with the complimentary iPad, cell phone, and bike use (including helmets and locks!), which were all included. If I return to Vancouver, I will be staying here. If I know anyone traveling to Vancouver, I will be telling them to stay here. It was a shining element to our wonderful adventure.

We have stayed in the OPUS for 3 nights. The hotel and rooms are great. Modern with lovely colors. Very very service friendly staff. The hotel is situated in a nice and lively area. Bike rentral and water taxi's 2 minutes away to explore Vancouver in various ways. One word a real holiday experience.

Our two families with teenage kids loved the location. We had a total of 3 nights spread over a week, during which we went up to Sonora. There was no concierge but the reception staff were terrific, willingly and helpfully arranging tickets or restaurant seats. The room service was poor, unfortunately, with too many mistakes and too few options. The rooms we had were pretty small, but functional, although the bathroom areas between the windows and a glass sliding door to the room were restrictive (without a separate area for the toilet, it was really only available for one at a time). The main reasons to stay are the location and quality staff.

Dear Hothan62, thank you very much for choosing OPUS and for taking the time to send us your comments. We were happy to see how impressed you were with our staff and location, but wanted to apologize for our short coming in Room Service. Upon reading your notes, we conducted a full review of our Room Service operations, as well as starting a discussion surrounding the current menu options to ensure we are in touch with our guests needs. For your next trip to Vancouver, if you are willing to consider staying with us again, please contact me directly at ngandossi@opushotel.com, and I will ensure that we find you and your family the prefect room configuration that fits your needs. Thank you again for your support, and for sending us your feedback. We look forward to hopefully having another opportunity to welcome you back to OPUS.

Sincerely,

I stayed at the Opus for four nights in June this year & have been meaning to write a review since. After researching many different hotels in Vancouver, I believe, I picked one of the best. If you’ve booked & are reading the reviews wandering if you’ve made the right choice you are truly in for a great stay.
The Opus made a solo trip to a strange city, 5,000 mile away from home very comfortable. It is across the road from the skyTrain (Yaletown roundhouse station) which is a very easy 30 minute journey from YVR. I was offered a glass of fizz or water on my arrival & was delighted to see a beautiful room with an extremely comfy bed to dive into after my long journey. The in room iPad & free internet access (or 3G when taken out & about) was very useful for planning & navigating my way around. The room was kept spotlessly clean & was very quiet, given the great location - a short walk to the Sea Wall, Yaletown Aqua Bus Port, Shops, Cafes & Restaurants. Rodney’s Oyster House & The Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar are my top recommendations. Customer service was second to none & I found the concierge’s all extremely friendly & knowledgable. I was also lucky enough to take full advantage of the complementary bike & car service during my stay.
I’m looking forward to returning to this amazing city to check in at the Opus again! Thank you for a great stay.

I am a very frequent traveler and i must say this hotel is truly a GREAT HOTEL at a very nice and convenient location in the middle of Vancouver. We stayed here twice and both stays the staff of the hotel did everything possible to make our stay even better. Would, without a doubt, stay here again when visiting Vancouver.

We loved this hotel. The location was great to walk around Vancouver, and there was a dog park close by. The only reason this did not get a 5 star rating is because our room faced Yaletown, and between 2-3am it was very noisy. Bring ear plugs, or ask for a room facing the back of the hotel.

The Opus Hotel far exceeded our expectations for a clean, conveniently located and luxury hotel for our first visit to Vancouver. My girlfriend and I were first and foremost impressed by the amazing customer service. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help. We were visiting from the US, specifically Los Angeles, so we are not used to this kind of genuine kindness. The hotel is almost directly across the street from the Yaletown-Roundhouse stop on the Skytrain so it was very convenient from the airport. And it is located in a very trendy area with tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you're looking to walk around during the day, it's convenient because it's close enough to many attractions such as the big Farmer's Market that you can walk there and back. And at night time, there are so many restaurants and bars open that it's very safe to walk around. They have a free car service that will drive you anywhere in downtown Vancouver. Additionally, they will give you bikes to use for free if you want to ride. The room was very clean and the service was excellent. They even had heated marble floors in the bathroom. We will definitely be staying here when we return to Vancouver and I highly recommend the Opus. Thank you guys for a wonderful stay!
