Fantastic Hotel, Rooms are spacious and confortable with an ipad on each room. The location is perfect. From the airport you can take the subway and the exit in right in front of the hotel.
The breakfast is really good.

Best location for finding the hip vibe in VANCOUVER!!! Boutique feel in the heart of Yaletown. ...restaurants , shops and patio Mecca!!! Guaranteed to surprise your senses with colour and pop art! La Pentola restaurant off lobby is fabulous offering rather unique Italian cuisine! Our stay left us feeling trendy and younger!!!

I helped plan a Bachelor (Stag) Party for 14 people coming from all over the US to meet in Vancouver. We reviewed a bunch of hotels and eventually settled on the Opus. We couldn't have been happier. To begin with, the group bookings team helped secure a great rate for our group, as well as helped manage all of the bookings for us prior to our arrival. They also were willing to accommodate some of our more ridiculous requests that come along with Bachelor parties.

Upon arrival, the staff couldn't have been friendlier - offering us champagne and water and checking us all in quickly. We stayed for 3 nights, and had several rooms reserved as well as one of the Signature Suites. The rooms were great, and the Suite was the perfect place for us to hang out as a group when we weren't out exploring the city.

Though we had planned out much of our weekend in advance, the concierge team did a great job of recommending great places to eat in the area for our large group.

As for the location, I don't think it can be beat. There are tons of bars and restaurants in the area filled with young people. And the shopping and outdoor activities are just a short cab ride or a comfortable walk from the hotel. We didn't take advantage of the on-site car service, but the in room phones and iPads were fantastic to have as we explored the town.

As would be expected with a bachelor party, we got a little rowdy at times, but the rooms were soundproof enough that we didn't disturb our neighbors (at least not that we know of). And the staff never let us know there was a problem.

All in all, it was a fantastic weekend and a big part of that was our stay at Opus.

Room Tip: The Signature Suites are worth the extra money if available"

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at the Opus and were truly treated like family guests from the moment we arrived. I must have casually mentioned we were celebrating our birthdays when making the reservation, because upon our late evening arrival, we found a delicious birthday treat waiting for us with a lovely note from the hotel manager. The front desk staff were helpful, responsive, and friendly. Our room had all the upscale amenities including an iPad, L'Occitane toiletries, great bathrobes, and a very comfortable bed and comforter. The location of the hotel can't be beat for its cool neighborhood, easy access to all sorts of transportation, proximity to the Sea Wall, nearby restaurants, and food shops for picnic supplies. My only caveat is the extra $200/day charge they placed up front on our credit card - for incidentals - although they credited it back immediately when asked. This is a lovely small hotel with modern elegance, a great place to stay in beautiful Vancouver.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor, especially on weekends, to avoid noise from the bar.

This is a very chic, hip smaller hotel with good old fashioned personalized service. The staff is sincerely friendly and kind, the rooms are spacious with a smart lay-out and the bathrooms have a walk-in shower and large soaking tub. The location is great for foodies, with dozens of trendy, good restaurants side by side. Their attached restaurant is a convenient choice for breakfast and a quieter locale for dinner or drinks and snacks in the lobby. We just loved staying here and cannot think of one negative point. Super!

My spouse and I wanted to splurge during our Vancouver stay. We decided on Opus and from the moment that we arrived (earlier than check in time), we were treated with high quality service. We had our doubts, but those doubts were set to rest once we opened the door to our room. It was a bit whimsical and chic in design, and they did not skip a beat in providing great amenities. Everyone who we interacted with, including the maid, were really friendly and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable and the iPad in the room was really useful, as we did not have our phones on us because we didn't want to pay for roaming charges.

What we loved:
The soaking tub was a great way to end the day and the rain shower was also great
The bed was SUPER comfy
The coffee maker was easy to use and really nice for our lazy mornings
YOU CANNOT BEAT THE LOCATION. Yaletown is a little too posh for us, but there were so many awesome restaurants near by, the ferry dock for Granville Island, and the bike trail to Stanley Park.
Concierge was very helpful. They even steered us towards a neat food and music festival happening the day we arrived.
They have 5 bicycles available for guests to rent FOR FREE!

Things to note:
The area is really safe and within reasonable walking distance to other attractions in Vancouver
Check out Swirl down the street. They sell wines from the region and at reasonable prices
So many restaurants nearby! You can't go wrong at any of them.
Several banks nearby if you want to exchange your currency to CAD
Literally, right in front of a train stop!
Very quiet at night and they do have A/C which is nice... not a given in the Northwest!

If you want to splurge and take your vacation to the next level, stay at OPUS. It's not as expensive as the other high end hotels in Vancouver and for the service that you receive, I'd say it's money well spent.

My husband and I have stayed here on two occasions now, most recently after our wedding night in July 2013. We had a wonderful stay and were very well looked after.

The service was impeccable from both front desk and room service staff. We were offered champagne upon arrival and had treats waiting for us in the room. We had room service in the morning for breakfast that was absolutely delicious.

The room was superb with everything we needed including snacks, wine, plush bath robes etc. The rooms at OPUS are really unique (having stayed here twice) and offer something different than your average chain hotel. If you like boutique hotels definitely check out OPUS next time you're in Vancouver.

I would most definitely stay here again! Anniversary staycation here we come!
