“Unbelievable Boutique Hotel”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

Me and my partner have been traveling around the world and stayed at various hotels. We have to say that OPUS is one of a kind - well, the best kind, we believe. Their staffs are the best value of this hotel. They are so caring and friendly. We totally feel like home. After 10 nights of stay, we definitely didn't want to leave!!!

Everything from restaurants to nightlife to shopping, all within walking distance of this great hotel. From quick on the spot directions via phone when I got lost trying to find the hotel (driving), to the very friendly service throughout my stay, the Opus is a must-stay-at-hotel!

I took the King Suite with Ipad for my stay. No, you are not reading that wrong, they lend you a hotel Ipad for your stay! The room was right sized, with a full desk, wifi and wired internet connection, closet with ironing board and safe, nice walk in shower, coffee maker, etc. The soaps and shampoo are so great smelling, really made me feel refreshed first thing in the morning.

At night the staff brings you a new bucket of ice and freshly carafe'd water. In the morning you have a local newspaper at your door. The valet was prompt in bringing my car around to the front, and offered directions to wherever I was headed.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Opus Hotel, and as experienced travelers, we would rate this as one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at, in any city. The location of this hotel is superb - it's located in a trendy area, just 1 short block across from the Canada Line train (very safe area). Because I was meeting my husband on a business trip, we had the unique experience of staying in 2 rooms - a Superior Room and a Deluxe King Room. Both rooms were beautiful, modern, trendy, and spotless. There were many little extras like water and candy with turndown service, an Ipad, and even a cell phone provided that not only made local calls, but also international ones at an extremely low rate. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bedding soft and luxurious. The rainfall shower was an added plus. All of this was fantastic; however, the most fantastic part of this hotel is the exquisite guest service. You will never need to ask twice for something. The staff is more than willing to help with anything that they can, especially with advice on what sorts of activities or restaurants would suit you in the area. The service could not have been better. The worst part of leaving Vancouver on this trip, was leaving this hotel. My husband will most certainly be staying here on future business trips.

I travel often to Vancouver and always stay at the Opus. The customer service is spot on and I love the location, the ambiance and personal attention. With an ipad and a complimentary cell phone in each room, the Opus makes it easy for the busy traveler to get around the city. Love the welcome snacks and the weather card and candy they leave in the room each day!
My only complaint this time was a guest in the room next door who opted to leave his smelly tennis shoes outside his door. It left a rather musky smell in the corridor!

Being Vancouverites and former residents of Yaletown it was a exciting to be back in Yaletown and The Opus Hotel for Saturday night. We had heard the rooms were recently "refreshed" and couldn't wait to check out our favorite Vancouver Hotel.
The Refresh was perfect and the service, style and confidenence of the anchor of Yaletwon was exactly what we needed.
A couple hieniken on ice and tunes playing made for a great balance of comfort and style.

A few appy's at La Pentola that were to die for (meat balls and the parmigano souffle). The brunch at La Pentola is equally awesome.

We will most definitely be back, I just hope its sooner rather than later!

From the moment you walk in the front door of the Opus, which opens automatically for you, until the moment you sadly check out, the Opus exceeds all expectations. The personable service is impeccable, and both their hotel rooms and suites are beautifully designed with every detail carefully thought out. The views of the city are stunning, and the complimentary iPad and cell phone to use while in town are a unique & fantastic bonus. All in all, a wonderful experience from start to finish that I look forward to repeating and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Vancouver.
