This hotel offers a comfortable stay in a great location. We walked to many different areas of Vancouver from the hotel, and it's very easy to access from the Granville St. bridge from the airport.

The best part about this hotel is the customer service. Our initial room had a broken window, and when I asked, the gentleman at the front desk happily moved us to a quieter room on the other side of the building immediately. We were given large umbrellas when it was raining to take exploring with us, and the wine tastings in the lobby are a nice touch.

The hallways of the floors are in need of a serious makeover, but the rooms are comfortable and clean.

p.s. DO NOT partake in the $9.99 "Canadian" buffet breakfast in the dining room -- it is subpar.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel. The front faces Granville St and about 4+ lanes of traf...

We are pleased that you had a comfortable stay and that you found us a convenient location. I have forwarded your concerns regarding the hallways to our renovations team for consideration in the next upgrade and thank you for letting us know where we can improve. The buffet breakfast, which was $14.95, has just recently been reduced to $9.99 for hotel guests in order to give better value for your money. We are sorry that you found it subpar and would appreciate any feedback on how we can make it more enjoyable.

We thank you for the kind words regarding the service you received and I will ensure the team is aware of how their actions helped make your stay better. We hope that your travels will bring you back to Vancouver again and we look forward to seeing you.

I was easily able to reach this hotel by a single bus from Pacific Station. The hotel stands out both for its beautiful lobby and because it's one of the taller buildings near Beach St.

The receptionist was quite helpful, and able to recommend several quick and inexpensive dining locations nearby which are often difficult to find in Vancouver.

The queen room was a little small, but still quite comfortable, stocked with some high-quality foods and toiletries. Although I had a nice window, the only view I got was of a parking lot and a few other hotels. This was the only disappointing thing about this hotel.

Overall I'd recommend this hotel for anyone who wants luxury and a convenient location without spending as much as one would on a four-star hotel.

We had booked online from the UK and after a long flight were pleased to get dropped at the hotel. Good welcome and nice location. Staff were very friendly from word go and constant during our 4 day stay. Breakfast was a bit too buffet style and there are local places to eat. Dave the Manager was very hospitable and the wine tasting sessions were great fun too. An excellent choice of hotel for exploring, near to buses but not that near to metro and just far enough away from the bad bits of the area. Go down to False Creek and get a water taxi to The Village and enjoy a walk to Chinatown, Gastown etc

Room Tip: Get high up..........we had a great storm and it was wonderful !

"Dave the manager" thanks you for your review... I'm glad you enjoyed the wine tasting and had some fun. I hope you also enjoyed all the sights of Vancouver. We are definitely conveniently located for the seawall, Granville Island and the aquabus across to it, and nothing is too far away in the downtown area to enjoy a leisurely stroll to. We finally got some rain in Vancouver and I am happy(?!) that you got to enjoy the storm, especially if it came with thunder and lightning which is always a rare treat in the city. I have forwarded your comments to our team as I know they appreciate the feedback on how they have helped make someone's stay memorable. I hope your travels will bring you back to Vancouver in the future as we all look forward to seeing you again.

For roughly $300 + parking a night in downtown Vancouver, for a 2 bdrm, 1bath, ktichen, this was good value. The hotel is conveniently located near to Granville Island and Stanley Park, but you still need a car. The hotel portion and lobby looks well-maintained and the staff was helpful and helpful. We had a condo above the 9th floor that appears to be managed by the hotel but privately owned. Unfortunately, our unit was in need of refurbishment. The bathroom tile especially around the tub had mildew and caulking was discoloured. The unit we had was a bit cramped for 6 ppl,

Nothing against the condo/hotel itself, but we went out for dinner for all 3 nights we stayed there and the immediate area appears littered with garbage and there were drug addicts and panhandlers everywhere. It may be wise to drive outside of the immediate area for dinner.

Room Tip: Dine outside of the immediate area. Extended stay condos are managed by the hotel.

Dear diyguy88,

Thank you for letting us know about your recent stay. We are pleased that overall you enjoyed your time with us. The suites are currently undergoing renovations in the bathrooms and kitchens which will continue in to the fall with new sinks and counters. There would never be an excuse for mildew and I have forwarded your comment to our housekeeping manager to rectify. One thing you can be assured of with the abundance of street people in Vancouver is that they are friendly and rarely, if ever, pose a problem to those around them. There are hundred of great restaurants in downtown Vancouver and our team is always ready to recommend one that meets any craving you may have. I hope you and your family were able to experience some of this fine cuisine as you explored all that Vancouver has to offer. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

The rooms were not large but very comfortable with Keurig coffee makers in the room (a nice touch). The small gym was quite adequate but some free weights would have been nice. The 9th floor outdoor hot tub was excellent with a huge deck (the wine tastings should be done up there in the summer). The wine tasting is a nice idea but the wine itself was not the best quality. The staff especially the front desk and the concierge were great, friendly and very helpful. The restaurant really needs some work, it was slow and we could not get the cocktails we wanted as the liquor was locked up and the staff had no access. When we did receive our food, appetizers only, it was quite tasty .

Dear Lyleao,
Thank you for the review of your stay. We are pleased that you found most things to your liking and that the staff were friendly & helpful. We have installed new equipment in the fitness room and as of yet have not received the free weights, but they are on the way. Our restaurant did undergo a small hiccup on the night you were in and I apologize for error. We thank you for the constructive comments and we enjoy welcoming you back on your next rip to Vancouver.

Sincerely,

Our daughter picked this hotel for us and we were really pleased with it. The room was very comfortable. The view from the 8th floor towards Granville Island was superb. The toiletries smelled divine. The location was good. We walked down to the water and caught the water taxi to Granville Island. There were all kinds of restaurant within just a couple of blocks.

It was our first time in Vancouver, and we had chosen this hotel to stay at for its affordability and the pictures we saw.

My boyfriend had checked-in and parked the car, as I indulged in the last few minutes of their complimentary wine hour. I'm unsure if this was a seasonal promotion or if they always do it, but nevertheless, i had a glass of red and an appetizer which looked like liver atop a slice of cucumber. It was surprisingly tasty.

The view from our room is nothing to brag about. We were only on the 3rd floor if I remember correctly, and would wake up to the sound of construction. The room itself wasn't too bad at all, cozy and naturally-lit by all the windows. I liked how they had a "master switch" to turn off all the lights when leaving. All about saving energy and helping green.

On the 9th floor was a relaxing deck with a much better view of some of the cityscape and freeway, and even some of the water if you go around more. There were lounge chairs provided and a fire pit. This floor also included the jacuzzi, which my boyfriend and I would like to soak in before bedtime. It says it closes at 10 pm, but we were still able to go up after that time. It was so relaxing.

The front desk was very accommodating in terms of directions and places to eat. We ended up along False Creek/Granville Island area most of the time. It was just a short little walk to the shore from the hotel.

Dear misskathrina,

Thank you for letting us know about your recent stay and it appears you had a wonderful time. I can let you know that our wine tasting is year round and done daily except for Sundays and Holidays. We hope that your boyfriend got a chance to join you at the wine tasting after parking the car. As the weather has been so beautiful in Vancouver for such an extended period of time, we have left the 9th floor open just a little longer each evening to allow guests to enjoy the cooler breeze blowing in off the water. We thank you for taking time out of your day to provide us with your feedback and we would look forward to welcoming you back should you return to Vancouver.
