Damien, at the front desk, upgraded us to a spacious room on the top floor after learning that we were staying for our anniversary weekend. Albert the concierge was very welcoming and bent over backwards to make sure we always knew where we were going, and the best way to get there. Thank you--both of you!

We were there for a 3 day weekend and we noticed that the lobby was extremely busy with tour groups. Luckily we decided to check in early before the groups arrived. Albert arranged for our bags to be stored while we waited for our room to be made up. This worked out perfectly, since there were many choices for a great lunch at the waterfront, just a short walk away.

Room Tip: Check in early, even if your romm isn't ready

I booked this hotel after reading of complimentary cruise ship terminal shuttle. Big mistake!
Shuttle does not exist. yet, it is included as a feature in 2 places in ad. Hotel management offered no compensation when shown ad. This is definitely a case of false advertising.
Todays ad still mentions complimentary cruise ship terminal shuttle for future booking.

Room Tip: There is no cruise ship terminal shuttle

We found this business hotel on a WOTIF deal so got a good price for staying so close to everything downtown.

Had to pay for carpark, but I understand this is a common practice in Vancouver.

Free wifi in room & very comfortable bed & immaculate bathroom.

The staff were helpful & friendly and gave us a good idea of where to start walking. Just be warned - Stanley Park is NOT just a stroll along the boulevard. It is an EPIC marathon if you intend to even get halfway around. We were walking for ages (in the wrong shoes!) and were amazed to find after nearly 2 hours were barely a third of the way to the totem poles! But very scenic all the same.

Tip: Amazing seafood can be found by turning left on Granville Isl and finding a great local secret - GO FISH. It was incredible and can't be missed.

Positives - comfortable beds, helpful staff, free wifi in the lobby, good location in the city.
Negatives - relatively small room, noisy air conditioner in room.
All in all we had a good stay here. You're not visiting Vancouver to spend hours in the room after all. The location is probably the key selling point here, you can easily walk to key parts of the downtown area and there are plenty of eating options nearby. It was also convenient from a pickup point of view for tours, and also near the car rental place when we left.

Vancouver Gay Volleyball Association used Executive Inn Vintage Park's ballroom to host our Annual General Meeting. We had 75 guests and there was ample room for everyone. The food was quite good, the plate service was efficient and well timed, the service staff was friendly and professional. The view from the ballroom was second to none with great water views of English Bay and Granville Island. The Catering Manager Janice was a pleasure to work with. She got back to me in a timely manner when I had requests or changes. She was able to tailor a meal to fit our non profit association's budget.
Downside - plastic cups used for drinks but the reasoning is that they are many stories up and have patios that are accessed from the ballroom. NIce for the views, but as usual, people that have no manners end up throwing wine glasses over the edge so we all end up with plastic. Maybe nicer plastic glasses would complement the fine dining experience that is expected...
Other than that, I would totally recommend this hotel for their catering and banquet facilities....

My husband and I went to this hotel for a romantic anniversary trip. We booked the jacuzzi suite, judging by the photos on line it looked like the perfect room.

We got to the hotel and waited for the valet to pick up our car, right by the sign that said valet... no one came out. Turn out you have to go inside the lobby as ask the concierge/bellmen/valet to get you car, if he's there. He wasn't when we checked in. When we got to our "romantic" jacuzzi suite, we discovered the photos online with a jacuzzi in the room with a view of the city, was not the jacuzzi suite.... there was a jacuzzi, in the florecent lit bathroom with rust stains, not that romantic for my taste. The room was so small the dresser covered half the desk. It was in great need of repair as well, chips in the glass top and dresser and windowsill, cracked lamp shades.

We asked the front desk about the room, she said you can only get the jacuzzi in your room, if you booked directly through the hotel. So we upgraded then and there. It was a much bigger room, but still had signs of wear and tare. Part of the wall paper had been scotch taped back to the wall. Both rooms had the hardest beds I have ever slept on, we both had terrible back aches for the next two days. We ordered some champagne to be delived to our room while we were out. Two small glass bottles were sitting on our dresser, one was non-alcoholic and they were both warm... right next to an empty ice bucket....

The on site restaurant is tiny! The breakfast was comperable to a holiday Inn Express, good but nothing to wright home about.

I do have to say the night concierge who went out of his way to drive us to a restaurant, after our car had been broken into earlier that day, was fabulous. He even gave us a private tour of the city.

The hotel seems upscale on line, but if you stay here don't expect too much.

We had a 2 double bed room. The room was *tiny*, too much furniture in the room! The double beds were smaller than doubles, more like twin-size. Absolutely not comfortable. Very hard mattresses. Air conditioner didn't cool the room at all, even the hallways were quite warm, so we left the windows open. The decor is very dated, the hotel needs an update in the hallways and the rooms. The bathroom's massaging shower head however was very good.

On check out, we asked for a taxi and waited about 30 minutes for one to arrive -- while we waited, someone went to "inspect" our room -- he came back and informed the front desk staff that we didn't "steal anything" from the room!

Save yourself these headaches, pay an extra $20 and stay at the Sheraton a few blocks away.
