Dont expect to much. But expect enough for its value. This Hotel is in the middle of Downtown just arround the corner from all the shopping and restaurants. The rooms are old, and the shower and all this ammenties could be renovated. But for what you pay its more than enough. The staff is nice, people are always friendly and smiling. Nobody stays in a hotel all day long. Yes you can probably hear when another door openes or close in the night slightly. But its everywhere like that. Low Budget hotel and offers everything you need, good bed, nice staff, great location. What you need more if you go for a low budget?! I guess its enough

Awesome beds, nice hotel bar, walking distance to good food and the hockey rink. What more could you want?? We had a kingsize bed room on the first floor, although the construction outside was a little annoying everything else was great.

We stayed at this hotel on our second last night in the city. We knew we would be checking in late and checking out early so the price attracted us. The rooms are on the small side, but all four of us managed to fit. I was surprised no breakfast was included since we had just come from comfort inn in surrey which had an amazing complementary hot breakfast buffet. Had we been planning on staying longer we definitely would have chosen a hotel with a pool/hot tub... but this hotel was worth what we paid and has a great location and comfy beds.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at our hotel. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our comfy beds, and our central location. While our breakfast buffet is not complimentary, we do offer some packages with the breakfast buffet included with your nightly rate. Valentines get away. Booked in advance right. By 4 months. Had to wait 2 an half hours for my room to be ready. When check in is at 3pm. That was stupid. My queen suite Was a shoebox. You could hardly move in there. The bed was the room. Make sure you tell doolins in the restaurant that you are staying in the hotel or you won't receive discount. Even though it was said to them over phone an email reservations. The only thing that kept me happy that night was the comfy bed. I will never be going back to that hotel would not recomened.

At first, I was surprised by the need to pay for overnight parking - after all, shouldn't motel parking be included in one's accommodation fees? Nevertheless I shrugged the surprise off and went on with my stay. The room was small, but clean and well appointed. Completely fine considering the price and our purposes.

Then things started to go bad. We were kept awake until at least 4am by loud dance music from the pub establishment below our room. Then, after a few hours of sleep we went downstairs to the pub to redeem our breakfast vouchers only to find the place flooded with rugby hooligans and a nearly empty breakfast buffet (which, mind you, was advertised as "all you can eat".) Honestly, even these two issues we could have shrugged off as part of the adventure... but topping it all off with the completely unnecessary and embarrassing hassle we experienced at check-out (which was caused by a mistake made by the establishments staff during our check in) and milquetoast-bordering-on-rude manner the staff handled the whole affair is the straw that broke this camel's back. I will not be staying at this motel again and will not recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: Bring printouts of EVERYTHING you receive from this motel (and beVancouver.com if you book through t...

We spent two nights in this hotel ( 4 people and 1 dog) with completely different experiences on each night. The first night (a Monday) we experienced exceptionally loud noise either from a nightclub nearby or the pub below our room. This went on until at least 1am (great if you are a party animal too, but not so great if you need to catch a taxi to the airport at 4am as one of our party had to do). The second night was quiet (except for the girls in the adjoining room who liked their tv or radio LOUD but they settled down by 9pm).
Charges were an issue too. We booked via booking.com which we have used many times. Our booking came up with a "total charge" price, however, on leaving the hotel we had to pay GST, Provincial sales tax, provincial tax Accommodations, Hotel service fee, and Destination marketing fees!!!! Totaling $45 (nearly 20 percent extra on top of our supposed total bill).
Good points: Staff were helpful. The hotel is great for dogs with a designated dog park within walking distance. Many good eateries are nearby - both cheap and high end. Good wifi reception in rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not located over the pub and does not face Nelson St. I would also request a...
