Cheap but would not recommend. Bathroom has no fan. No fridge or microwave in rooms. place is noisy all day and all night. Ruined the whole stay. Hotel charges $16 for parking per day. Hotel staff is friendly however. I wish I had known before I booked my stay with them.

First impression was a bit of a let down as the only way in was up a few steps with our heavy luggage and nobody to help. But the staff were friendly once inside. The room was small but adequate, clean and comfortable. It had a pub attached to the hotel where we were given vouchers for breakfast. This was also ok. The pub was a very nice place to have meals too. The location was fine and we hopped on a bus to go to the Stanley Park Aquarium, they didn't take cash notes and said we didn't have to pay.... so that was nice too. We would stay here again, no problem.

POSITIVE:
Close to all in Vancouver downtown walking area, close to Pizza Garden an original Italian very good pizza made by Alex, and Tim Horton in front of; good price for 63CAD/night it was a nice room large enough with 2 double size beds, nice and clean at all details, high speed internet, nice lobby and good staff, coffee and luggage storage after check-out, nice mirrors, pleasant smell air and not problem with air heating ventilation dust or something else.

Negative:
NO fridge!no chance to keep cold a Coke or something!
Not many option for French channels on TV- (CANADA is FR+EN about my knowledge), not so strong isolated windows (noisy from that but acceptable ) but clean anyway all of it.
Non-functional coffee machine for my room, it will be better do repair the black one of 212(my room,) which wasn't changed during my visit even if I asked. It doesn't affect me because I don not drink coffee so much, and it was in the lobby.

I stayed here for a few days in January. The staff was friendly, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal for us. We needed to be right downtown, and this hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the nearest Canadaline station for airport access. They have a left luggage room, which was helpful for us since we had to check out a few hours before our flight, so we were able to spend more time downtown without worrying about baggage.

It was obvious that they have taken steps to renovate the place, and the lobby (while small) was nice, and there were apparent updates in the room itself. Some aspects, like the dingy hallways and old carpet, were a bit offputting, but we weren't expecting a 5 star hotel. The bathroom was also musty-smelling, but the room had a powerful airconditioning unit that cleared things up in minutes. Yes, the room was small, and there was noise from people (kids?) running upstairs and maids letting room doors slam early in the morning, but we didn't plan to spend a lot of our Vancouver trip in the hotel room.

Overall, an economical choice. I would stay again.

My friend and I just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel while in Vancouver celebrating my birthday. The actual hotel room is very, very small (I've had bigger hotel rooms in New York City the capital of small hotel rooms) but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver you need not look any further.

We were in walking distance to restaurants, shops, clubs, lounges and the train. The value for what we paid far outweighed any bad. . . . to briefly mention the bad: (1) Make sure the breakfast is included in your room package it is no longer a complimentary hotel offering. (2) Many reviewers complained about the noise in rooms and the hotel room walls are very thin. We had a room on the 4th floor away from the Pub downstairs but our neighbors thought we were talking to loud one night and banged on the wall. (3) Lastly, our bathroom light went out our last night and kept blinking non-stop the front desk staff was limited on what they could do to fix the problem so late at night they offered to pay our cab fare for a night on the town.

The front desk staff was excellent when it came to questions, requests and providing us change. A special thanks to Jesse, Chris and Miracle for making my birthday weekend a special one in downtown Vancouver.

We have just come back from our trip from Vancouver with my husband. We had just couple of days in Van, so we had to be somewhere in the core of it... The hotel is just perfectly situated! Another thing I loved is super friendly front desk staff. The girl that was helping us with check out on Sunday was very helpful and made a good impression. She actually kind of made our day.. Because it started well. But for her it was Sunday morning. Thanks so much.

Check in/out was easy and the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful throughout the stay. the hotel rooms were pretty clean, ours was quite small with no view to speak of. bathroom was clean and everything seemed to work, plenty of hot water. we did not have the breakfast.

a good basic hotel in a downtown location, that won't break the bank. recommended
