“Best way to sample local cuisine and see the city in one shot!”

My husband and I were in Vancouver for a couple of days and when traveling, we always search for food tours. What better way to sample what a city has to offer then a food tour? We love to support food trucks, so the food truck tour was definitely for us! This is a walking tour, so be prepared with some good footwear and for whatever the conditions are outside. We were lucky and it only drizzled for a couple of minutes...then clear skies. We met our guide Manuela at our first food cart (Japadog.) She was really energetic and friendly. She gave us a map of the city, which included where the food trucks were situated. This was great for future reference if we wanted to try some new trucks or get back to the ones we loved. The tour lasted about 2 hrs and we visited 6 trucks. Manuela told us about how the trucks got started and a little background on the chefs and food being served. We got to try all different types of food from Japanese hotdogs to Indian Butter Chicken and freshly made Naan. Mmm..... Really great variety. I would definitely recommend this tour! If we're ever in Vancouver again, we'd definitely take this tour again and possibly the guilty pleasures tour they also offer.

“Vancouver Street Food tour”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Tour guide knowledgeable and fun. We sampled food from 6 carts and learned a few tidbits about the city as we walked around. Tour very well organized. Little waiting for samples. A great and novel format for getting to know the city. Some bonus visits to public squares and hotel lobbies.

“Do this first !”

What a fantastic time my wife and I had. The guides are very fun to be with. The information they gave us about the different foods we had at the different stops gave us a head start with understanding the area fare. We should have done this tour the first day, it would have saved alot of time running around.

We had a great time on the food cart tour with Manuela. We were the only two people on the tour so we got to chat with our guide more than usual. The tour featured some delicious eats from a variety of cuisines.

“A Truly Unique Experience”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Holey Moley did my sister and I have a grand time on the Food Cart tour! Our guide Andrew was great, and I have to commend the staff of Foodie Tours for punting after two food carts broke down. From Japadog to Soho Road and Bella Gelateria (a last second substitution), we cannot say enough about the food and the cart proprietors. Bella Gelateria, in particular gave us the most meaningful experience of the day! The owner is an AMAZING individual with a true passion for his craft. We took our tour on a soggy and cold day this past May, and Maestro James was extremely gracious with not only his samples, but his motivational talk on the world of gelato and on life. We left (an hour after arrival) with a new found appreciation for the craft and for achieving our life's goals. We will NEVER look at gelato the same way again. My sister and I have been going on for days about the chocolate sorbetto and the our experience with the tour! Andrew gave us the most amazing dinner suggestion too of ShuRaku Sake Bar & Bistro (which is on their Gourmet Eats tour)! The Wild Salmon TARTAR, oh how I want a truck load of you. If you are looking for an exceptional time, book these tours now!
