A very full day , almost 14 hours but well worth it , touring Vancouver Island. Guide extraordinaire Amy, picked us up promptly at hotel at 7 am for a most intriguing and fulfilling day. She was bus driver , tour guide and excellent multi tasker while keeping everyone informed and entertained. The hour and a half ferry trip across was most delightful once you pushed your way through the hordes of visitors. Finding the Seawest Lounge and paying the extra $12 for peace and quiet and comfortable lounge chairs on the ferry was a god send. Victoria city was most interesting and lots of shopping for those inclined. Finished the day with a two hour tour of Butchart Gardens and that was definitely the highlight. Absolutely stunning and one of the best gardens I've ever seen. Once again Amy our guide was just a font of information and definitely made our day. Got back to hotel at 9.30pm, long day but most memorable.
