The Art Wheelers tour is an incredibly interesting and unique way to see the gorgeous city of Vancouver in the summer. On our two hour tour we saw different parts of Stanley Park, rode along English Bay, and ended up at Olympic Village in False Creek. I looked into several different bike tour companies and chose this one because in addition to enjoying the fantastic scenery, you also get to learn about the city’s public art and the Vancouver Biennial. The other huge bonus is that the tour is a great deal at only $20! Guides Rosemary and Carol-Ann are both trained art historians and their passion for the subject comes through. I ended up with a much better understanding of the city and appreciation for Vancouver’s public art. I was also very happy to hear that proceeds go towards providing free tours for kids! This small but growing non-profit organization offers tours in the summer every Wednesday evening from 6-8pm—make sure to book early because tours sell out well in advance. I absolutely loved it and couldn’t recommend this tour more highly for any cyclist and/or art lover.
