“The return of the BBQ pulled pork sandwich food truck to Vancouver!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

The Re-Up BBQ is a food truck located on the public grounds of the Vancouver Art Gallery. The food truck has successfully made its return after being away due to the occupation of the public grounds of the Art Gallery due to the "Occupy Vancouver" protest.

Having returned, the menu of the food truck has expanded from its BBQ pulled pork sandwiches to include now Beef Brisket and BBQ Ribs. Very tasty!

“So.Good.”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

My foodie friends and I have been talking all winter about the beginning of food cart season and in particular, the return of The Re-Up BBQ food cart. The meat is so tender, the sauce is so tasty and the southern ice tea so refreshing that my mouth is watering just writing this. While the beef brisket is tasty, it has nothing on the pulled pork sandwich. That sandwich is a rodeo in your mouth, without the bull.

I live close to their location in New Westminster, but I refrain from going too often because I feel that it will cheapen my food cart experience when the time comes. Granted, there are other dishes to try, but I am faithful to the pulled pork (except that one time I tried the brisket, but that was strictly for comparison purposes).

Luckily, there are so many new food carts around that real foodies have stopped lining up for this one in favour of ones they haven't tried. Less time for me to wait for my little piece of food heaven.

“BBQ in Van?! Yes!”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

This little foodcart near the BC Art Museum is an awesome find for anyone who can appreciate some good BBQ brisket or pulled pork. I love the brisket sandwich. The meat is tender and flavorful and the BBQ sauce is perfect - just enough heat and sweet mixed together.

They only take cash and close when they run out of food, so go early!

“Not just a food cart!!”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

Re-Up BBQ began as one of the first food carts in Vancouver a couple of years ago. It still operates its cart at Hornby and Georgia in the forecourt of the Vancouver Art Gallery, but also has a bricks and mortar cafe/deli in the River Market in New Westminster that opened in May 2012.
This site offers many more menu items than their signature pulled pork sandwiches, all of which contain organic and locally sourced ingredients.
Next door is their Fathom Seafood cafe with delectable Oyster Po'boys as the signature dish. Both serve home-made sodas - great on a hot day.
Outside is a patio overlooking the Fraser River and a long boardwalk to walk off your meal... Magic!

“Delicious BBQ”
Reviewed May 31, 2012

Who says a food truck only serves quickly made food? You can tell by the taste of Re-Up BBQ that their meat is slowed cooked. It's tender, moist, flavourful and oh so delicious. Just the smell of the food truck is incredible.

I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. Much better than the BBQ I had tried at Peckinpah (Gastown). The meat was fresh and so was the bun. I can't think how they could possibly improve their food while remaining in a food truck. If you like BBQ then definitely give it a shot.

The man working the truck was extremely friendly while making the food. The customer service was great!
