I highly recommend Eagle's Nest vacation home. Our stay was perfect. Quiet, refreshing environment, tidy appearance, quaint community right down the street. Amazing views! Deanna and Paul have thorough notes and tips for all the things you might need. Vancouver an easy drive away. We were very comfortable in this home and in the community, and could easily have spent another week exploring all there is to do. Easy access to hiking trails and kayaking was a big bonus for our active teens.

“A very relaxing and calm nest for us all”
Reviewed July 7, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The first thing that will strike you about Eagles Nest is the view; it is marvellous. We were lucky enough to have the perfect weather for our weeks stay, and to look out upon that view - you can't miss it - was so becalming and striking. With only a short walk to the village, the mountains and the shore, the house was ideally situated. We enjoyed our stay massively and only wished we could have stayed longer. If you chance upon Paul you'll find him a very warm and humorous man. We will almost certainly return again.

Hi Stephen,

It was a real pleasure to have your multi generational family come and grace us with a visit. To see families come together (in this case from Ireland and England) is a big reason why we are doing this. Please come again and bring everyone with you!

Cheers,

Paul and Deanna

“Fantastic house and location”

Vancouver is a wonderful city and Eagles Nest was a perfect place to stay with both the sea and the mountains within 10 minutes walk. The house has all the amenities 8 of us needed and the sofa beds in the living room were all comfortable. Deep Cove is very pretty with a water sports centre and plenty of cafes and restaurants, I would guess it gets very busy in the summer, but in April it was very relaxing. The mountains behind offer plenty of shorter walks or long treks whichever is your preference and there are bus services into central Vancouver if you don't have a car. If you are tempted by Capillano suspension bridge then I would suggest you go to Lynn Valley instead - it is free and is much closer. Stanley Park is a great day out and hiring bikes to cycle round Vancouver is also good fun - lots of hire places, including ones with electric bikes. We all had a great time, thanks.

“Eagle's Nest was the best "roost" we could have hoped for for our North Van adventures.”
Reviewed June 27, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Gorgeous, classic open-beam, A-ceiling interior, all the amenities, large deck with grill, and that view! Hosts Paul and Deanna were very accommodating, and the rate was great, especially when shared by our 8 person group. Nestled in the beautiful village of Deep Cove, "Eagles Nest" was secluded, and yet only minutes away from all the outdoor attractions in North Can we'd come to explore. It was perfect, and we all highly recommend this great vacation home "roost" to everyone.

“Home with a view”
Reviewed September 23, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Staying at Deanna's hilltop home is like housesitting for a friend. The accommodation is inviting and provides lots of amenities for family life. The kitchen is well equipped and visitors are encouraged to leave any condiments etc that may be too difficult to take away with them thus eliminating much of the need to buy sugar, salt, pepper, spices, sauces, oils, pasta, coffee, tea just to name a few of the goodies we found in the fridge and many cupboards. There are lots of towels, extra bedding, soaps, toilet paper etc. which you are also free to use. Full laundry facilities in the house add to the convenience. To this generosity add the large master bedroom with ensuite in the erie of the house and the fabulously large and sunny deck with barbeque on the main level and it is a perfect house for entertaining. All our Vancouver friends (and some from Toronto too) marvelled at the beauty of the area and its easy proximity from Vancouver. A special mention should also go to James at Cove Water Tours for the scenic boat trip up Indian Arm and for trying to "pot" a crab for us outside his charming home on the south side of the "Arm".

“Amazing hidden Gem!”
Reviewed July 18, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed here on a family vacation in May and could not fault anything. Eagles nest is in a stunning location with stunning views over deep cove. The lodge felt like home from home and was equipped with everything you could need. I have never stayed places where they supply you with essentials such as tea coffee, shampoos etc there was an abundance of everything. Every little detail was thought of for tourists such as maps, tourist attraction information down to takeaway menus which came in useful. Deanna and Paul were very friendly, helpful and approachable. We were lucky to have family living near deep cove who knew where all the attractions were ,however Deanna and Paul offered us advice and recommendations if we needed them. If I return to Canada I would not hesitate to book this lodge. We were a party of 6 and there was ample room in the lodge to cater for us all. One evening we had a family BBQ and there were 10 adults and 4 children and still plenty of room. We loved this lodge and would recommend this hidden gem to everyone.

That is what we love to hear. Thank you for coming and having a great time.and sharing your review, It is so nice that your extended family could come and enjoy an evening together here as well. Thank you for mentioning all the extras that we supply. We are always improving on these details and we understand when people are flying in and out that supplying a lot of the condiments, herbs, and extras are real help. Welcome back.

“Relaxing paradise”
Reviewed June 29, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

My boyfriend and I came to this beautiful home for a relaxing getaway during June 2014. We had such a wonderful stay. The sound of the stream flowing on the property was very peaceful. An incredible hike on the Baden Powell trail is literally steps away; tourists from near and far travel to this trail, and we had direct access! We kayaked on Deep Cove, with sights of seals and eagles. The house had incredible views of the cove. Vancouver city was also fabulous. It was hard to leave, and I hope we get to come again soon.

We are so glad that you had the chance to kayak here in Deep Cove and Indian Arm.
Just a few minutes walk to Deep Cove Kayaks gets you out on the water amongst so much wildlife.
Indian Arm, this huge 18km long fjord has so much to explore for anyone on water. In the silence of kayaking you see more birds otters and seals, and often at very close range.
Thanks for coming, and sending your review. We look forward to your return.
