My friend and I were the only people in the restaurant who were not Asian. The big lazy-susaned tables were packed with noisy families, eating unfamiliar dishes. The proprietors had to set up a table for us that seated two.
The menu listed unusual items such as bird's nest soup and shark fin soup. We ordered a shrimp dish and the waiter suggested we couple it with tofu with mushrooms and oyster sauce. The tofu dish was a hit. The food was outstanding but pricy. Dinner for two came to around $90. Still, I'd return just to have that tofu dish again. Best Chinese food I've ever eaten, and the service and atmosphere was electric.
