“good vibe, great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

We felt comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. The music is all Canadian indie artists, the food is locally sourced, the service was relaxed but very professional. We never eat chicken wings but had to try "free range wings" - it was great - spicy, smokey, sweet & sticky. For mains we had steak frites (local range-fed beef, medium rare, tender & perfect) and duck confit (local, fell off the bone). Well priced booze and a thoughtful wine list.

“Excellent breakfast/brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013

Came here with my better half and my brother for breakfast. All of our dishes were absolute winners, and it was surprising given the average tripadvisor score.

I had some form of chorizo hash with spicy hollandaise that was on special and was delicious.
My bro had their buttermilk chicken and waffles which we all had a sample of. Also great.

My girlfriend likely ordered some eggs benedict theme dish (as she tends to do) but quite enjoyed it too.

We HAVE been there for late dinner (great advantage when everything is closed in kits), but the dinner menu is average.
However breakfast/brunch....strongly recommended.

“There are better nearby.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

We recently had dinner at this busy and loud restaurant. The food was average, someone had excellent fried chicken, two of us had average halibut (the fish was good but the bean and tomato ragu was bland and underdone, and one had a very dry braised shortrib. It took over an hour for our meals to come and the staff was indifferent. They poured our drinks and left us alone for over 45 minutes. The wine list was overpriced as well. They do have a huge selection of bourbon, but it is a restaurant, not a bar.

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012

the food actually is good but wayyy overpriced for what you get... we had breakfast here. they also wouldn't take our brunch coupon on sunday morning..... this place is very crowded and uncomfortable. wasn't impressed with service here either.

there are lots of great options in this city.. we probably won't be back.
