“Central & Quiet”

Within walking distance from robson, gas town,Stanley Park,Canada Place Ocean Liner Terminal.

Very small room, a small double bed but very well maintained and clean.
There can sometimes be a queue for the shared bathroom, but not too serious as each floor has two showers & two toilets.

Breakfast was either a toasted bagel which was very good or cereal that comes in a little box. Tea & coffee was on offer 24 hrs. You can help yourself from the diningroom.

Construction in front of Kingston started work at 7.30am & finished at 5pm so not disturbing.
Free WiFi a great bonus.
Will happily stay there again.

I've been at the Kingston Hotel in the beginning of Augst 2013for about 5 days. And I cam back 3 weeks later.
The Kingston is placed at a very very good spot in Downtown. Its just 1 Block from Granville Street where the nightlife happens and just a few Blocks from Gastown, Robson, Yaletown and Stanley Park !
I've been by foot to the Stanley Park in 30 minutes.
Right niext to the Kingston is restaurant with Sportsbar, 50m next to it is Starbucks, A&W Burger, Market and loads of other Fast Food shops.
The Kingston itself is clean andhas very friendly staff. You get a small but tasty breakfast and the rooms are done every day by housekeeping (but you can tell them to leave you alone if you dont want them to come in).
The only thing I don't like thatmuch is that toilets and showers are shared...BUT first you got a sink in every room and second the toilets are always clean !!! So its not that bad.
The Kingston is the place I definetly would recommend if you come to Vancouver and you are on budget.

Room Tip: If you dont need a Queen or King bed, ask for the small beds. They are 10$ cheaper a night.

I stayed there for 3 nights in late July. The place has an excellent location in Downtown Vancouver with walking distance to Metro central station and Canada place, It is very clean and provides a very nice service. Our room was the budget one so it was small and the double bed was also very small. The bathroom was down the hall. The place has a free WiFi and a computer with free internet. The breakfast was basic - toast with cheese or jam, tea, coffee and a juice but it was enough for us. There is no air conditioning in the rooms.

I stayed for a week in late July while attending a symposium at the 'Fairmont' hotel downtown. Choosing the bed and breakfast option worked perfectly as the Kingston Hotel provided a good ambience of friendly and helpful staff, and a decor that imparted a sense of comfort and security, with a clean and bright single room with solid basics and space to relax in. It was a treat to breakfast in a room off the lobby overlooking the street which invited one into the day; also in providing an opportunity to enjoy the company of other guests if amenable. Its location is its key attraction which underlies one's mobility in moving around the city with its access to all forms of transportation on the doorstep and in a pleasant neighbourhood.

Room Tip: End of corridor and first floor was quiet.

I stayed nine nights in the Kingston Hotel In July. I was attending a conference at the Westin Bayshore, whose rooms are no doubt bigger and whose facilities are more luxurious, but whose prices are way out of my range. I opted for a private bath, since it was a long stay, but there are rooms at $75 a night with shared bath. The hotel was very clearn and quiet (except for the construction noise next door, but I was out all day anyway) and the staff helpful. Breakfast was adequate and fast and the restaurant next door serves surprisingly good dinners (not just pub fare). It's the location that is the big bonus: within walking distance of everything you need, including two sky train stations to get you anywhere further afield. I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room that doesn't overlook the street if you like to sleep in, at least during c...

I initially booked this accommodation due the attractive sticker price however, had not realized that a shared bathroom may mean having to wait for the toilet while someone else used the shower facilities... Upgraded to a room with private bathroom for an additional $55 which would have put me into any number of other hotels nearby. Very quaint breakfast area. Smallest television I have seen in a hotel room in over 25 years.... watched the NBA championship game on a 12x12 screen!

This is right at the downtown and very clean rooms with good facility
The hotel staff was extremely courteous and very helpful
Sean at the the desk was really nice and their breakfast was really good

All the sight seeing facilities can be easily assessed
The net connection was excellent
Housekeeping very prompt
Definitely a great hotel for the price and location
