We like Vancouver and the Rosedale is very well located to get to most attractions. It is a large hotel and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a suite with two double beds, lounge and very small kitchenette. We were on the 12th floor and the view was not so good. Staff were always polite and helpful. We had read on Tripadviser about the breakfast abvailable on the 2nd floor, but decided to eat at Rosie's which is attached to the hotel but not run by the hotel. We had most of our meals there and enjoyed them very much. We still don't know if we were eligible for the free breakfast but preferred Rosie's anyway. The entrance to the hotel is covered so no worries when it is raining.
Seems to be a taxi rank at the front entrance too. We were there five days and found it met our needs very well.

Room Tip: I think a room looking out over the library would be good - ours looked onto the sports stadium whic...

Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are clean but need updating. 2 room units. One room has a sofa with tv and an old all in one kitchenette, second room is a bedroom. Large bath between the two. Great staff downstairs restaurant "Rosie's" is very good with reasonable prices for Vancouver.
Short walk to almost everywhere in downtown Vancouver.

Room Tip: Tall building the higher the floor the longer the elevator wait

Courteous lobby staff - our room was available long before we were due to check in, which was a relief, as we had had two nights on the Saskatoon-Vancouver train. Rooms clean and comfortable. Room stewards (housekeepers) excellent, particularly Maureen who was very helpful when my friend was still suffering from motion sickness. They changed our sleeping arrangements without question. Hotel very convenient for skytrain and Marina ferries. Altogether a very well run establishment, and not as noisy as might be expected from a city-centre location

We stayed for one night at this lovely Vancouver hotel, which was within walking distance of a LOT of things we wanted to see. Because it is relatively centrally-located, we were able to see YaletownChinatown, Gastown and the harbor. We understood that we could also walk to Stanley Park, but since it was raining most of the time we were there, we didn't attempt it. The rooms were very nice -- clean and spacious, with a nice little kitchenette and a great living room area. We only had one night pre-cruise, but I would not hesitate to return and stay here again! The on-site restaurant, Rosies, served a wonderful breakfast the next morning, too.

Room Tip: We had a suite on a higher floor, which seemed a little nicer (and certainly had a better view) than...

In May 2013 we stayed a total of 5 nights - 3 pre-cruise and 2 post-cruise. On both occasions we found the rooms to our liking - very much like to lounge + bedroom format. All staff members we spoke with were courteous and helpful. The geographical position of the Rosedale is excellent with busy and retail stocked Robson Street adjacent. Also used the nearby (5 minutes walk) Sky Train station very useful and for those with light bags this is an excellent way to travel in from the airport. A large number of good rfestaurants 5 minutes walk down Hamilton Street.

Room Tip: If you weant fresh air with bedroom window open at night ask for a high floor.

We spent a week at the Rosedale on Robson and were very happy with our "oasis" in the city. We were in easy walking distance to everything this beautiful city has to offer - Yaletown was on our doorstep, Gastown and Chinatown a short walk over the hill. A short walk to the " hop on hop off" bus stop then put us in way reach of Stanley Park and the rest of the city.

The hotel itself is great. We had a spacious 1 bedroom suite with ample room to settle in for a week. Rosie's Bar downstairs is very handy for dinner and a drink after a full day of sightseeing. Washing facilities were very welcome after a couple of weeks of constant travel.

The shuttle collected us for both our Whistler and Victoria tours without any hassle.

Centrally located skyscraper, rooms are comfortable with large beds, armchairs, and kithchenette, however the upright ended baths are not comfortable for soaking in!. The restaurant Rosies serves excellant breakfasts, but dinner menu is ordinary, and it is better to dine out. The hotel and restaurant staff are both friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger with windows on 2 aspects
