We stayed in 2 different rooms (one night in a hotel suite, one night in a Vacation International unit); both rooms were updated, clean and had nice views of the city.
Our only issue was that we came by automobile and had bicycles locked on a car rack, but the front desk staff and bellmen strongly recommended that we take the bikes and bike rack to our room. They said there have been problems with vandalism in the unsecured garage. One bellman said his own bike had been stolen near the hotel by someone who cut his kryptonite bike lock. We asked if the hotel had any secure place for bike storage and were told "no".
Thus we crowded our bikes into the small elevator (after maneuvering them through three sets of doors in the parking garage) and took them to our hotel room. The bikes basically took up all the space in the living room! We encountered other guests having to do the same thing. This is so sad because nearby are great bike routes on major streets throughout downtown, the waterfront and Stanley Park. How about making this a bike-friendly hotel???More
