“Spacious but noisy”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

We had a spacious 2 bed suite which was by far big enough for the four of us. Was clean and comfortable however it is on a very busy road and windows are not double glazed so a lot of noise from the street below is heard. In addition on both nights that we stayed, people in rooms adjacent were having parties. But to be fair to the hotel they did refund me some money.

I loved the location amenities and price point of this hotel. Their two bedroom apartment came in very handy for our stay with wife, mother in-law and baby. There were two nicely sized bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a dinning room with floor to ceiling glass on two sides overlooking the street below.
The kitchen was from the 90's but it was clean and the hotel staff were great. They even replaced our faulty dishwasher before we made a complaint.

The only problem that I had was that it smelled old and from the 12th floor we could still hear the noise from the traffic.
The noise wasn't noticeable once you have the air going, but the smell had me wanting for a regular hotel room. It was just terrible IMO but maybe I'm just being picky.

If you don't mind those two things then it'll be perfect for you.

Next time, I think we'll try something with a fresher scent.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better to avoid traffic noise.

There were fourteen of us, all members of a walking club staying here for 5 nights. We divided into three suites. The building itself was perfectly located for all our sightseeing. The receptionists were really helpful and pleasant. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. Housekeeping was regular, good and non-invasive. Breakfast was carbohydrate laden but sure we were on holidays.. pay for that later! Car parking was provided and all in all we had a very nice stay and I would definitely go stay in the Landis Suites again.

Room Tip: Lower floors and you can avoiid the lifts, they seemed to have a mind of their own and sometimes too...

Stayed here with my husband and daughter for 3 days whilst sight seeing in Vancouver. It was well located to get about although a bit noisy from the street as it is near a local accident and emergency hospital, so you might here a few sirens going through the night but it does not really bother you that much as we still slept well despite that. We had a suite which had a large lounge diner, a fully fitted kitchen, a large master bedroom with en suite at one end and our daughter had a good size bedroom and a bathroom at the other end so very good if you need a bit of your own space. There was a large flatscreen tv in the Lounge and one in both bedrooms so 3 altogether! handy if you all want to watch different things. There is also a type of closed in type of sun lounge with a table and chairs. There was a breakfast included in our package which you could take up to your room from the breakfast area on the second floor if you wanted, as it is quite small and did get quite busy. We had a selection of cereals, breads, rolls, fruit, coffee, tea etc etc. It was well appreciated in the morning having an included breakfast which we did take to our room and sat at the table whilst watching the city of Vancouver come to life. There is also a free shuttle bus but you have to book it in the morning, we used it to get to the bus station for our Greyhound bus to continue our travlels The suite is a bit dated and needs newer furniture etc. but it is clean although for location, size of accomodation, free breakfast and shuttle bus it was very good value for money and would suit families or a group of friends who wanted plenty of space. You cannot fault it for the price.

Room Tip: High floor for the views and to sleep better without hearing too much noise.

I think this place is intended for longer stays, but we thoroughly enjoyed it for 2 nights. I was traveling with my husband and my mother, we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which included 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, living room area, and even an enclosed balcony. The lobby is not much to look at, and the first room we had on the fourth floor smelled badly, but they moved us to the 7th floor and we were pleased, nice layout and nice linens. Included was a continental breakfast which wasn't anything special, although it was fun to have china plates instead of all plastic! The location is great. One day we did the big bus pass, which we picked up a couple of blocks away and saw lots of the city. We especially enjoyed the little water taxi and our trip to the Granville Market.

I stayed overnight in a two bedroom suite. The beds in both rooms were very comfortable and the suite was clean. The pool and exercise rooms were great. The breakfast (free) was not great for a diabetic - it was all starches and sugars, no protein. The couch and chair in my suite were in bad shape, a tear in one and the arm of the couch was sagging with no padding left in it all. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is super.

Room Tip: If you have health concerns, go elsewhere for breakfast.
