I say "in" a seascape, because that's what it feels like in this restaurant, right on the beach at one of the most famous sunsets in the world. Reserve a window seat on a clear night with light cloud cover. At sunset, as you sip a wonderful lobster bisque or fork into a delicate shrimp cocktail--the sky EXPLODES into blood-reds, oranges, and purples over the sea, the city, and the layered mountains in the distance. This amazing display lasts a good ten minutes and is worth holding off on that reservation until conditions are perfect, 'cause the place ain't cheap! Seafood is very good, meat dishes ok but uninspired. Service is excellent, as is the wine list and an extensive selection of draft beers. If your budget is a little tight, reserve that all-important window seat and order some wine and only a couple of appies.
Enjoy the sunset!

When I first arrived at my hotel, took a walk on the beach and noticed many, many logs. At first I thought they had been washed up; however, upon closer inspection, saw that they were arranged so that people could use them to sit on .... what a great use of resources!!!

We had a fun filled day at english bay beach, we arrived in vancouver on the day of the Pride March through the City that ended at English Bay Beach... The Parade was so colourful, and when we got to the beach it was full of people. what we were supprised with was how clean it was, No Litter, No Used bear cans or food wrappers... the Parks department deserve a pay increase. the facilities were clean and presentable. the locals were very friendly and the food vendors were very helpful!
